I wish they made toilets that flushed good and weren’t plagued by restricting efficiency standards.

You know. For a 1 gallon toilet, this honestly did good compared to the other ones. The .8 gallon project source honestly. They need to make a flushometer variant out of that, it would be absolutely legendary
@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsАй бұрын
This would be really cool on flushometer
@thesdf1234Ай бұрын
I agree. For a one gallon toilet it actually has decent power. But I would never put this in my home. Could you imagine hosting a large gathering and having 30+ people using this toilet one after another, putting large loads and lots of TP in there, etc etc A high quality plunger next to this toilet would be a must
@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsАй бұрын
That's why we need 3.5s back.

They are an interesting design, that's for sure. Setting one of these up on a high tank would be quite difficult though.

American Standard needs to bring back their toilet designs from the 1960s through the 90s.

No doubt why the Vormax toilets have failed and have been pulled off stores due to that dual flapper setup being a problem, as well as performance.. This was their flagship line that they basically compromised their Cadet and Champion lines to promote the Vormax... Kohler's Rev360 have been proven decent and best seller too!
@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsАй бұрын
American Standard really dropped the ball on this design. Who wants to prime a toilet?
@ToiletsofWNYАй бұрын
That's why they failed and ended up being taken off from most retail like home depot.
@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsАй бұрын
@@ToiletsofWNY I remember when they had the display models where you could open the lid and look at the flappers. That was cool but it's about as antiquated as putting two spuds on a commercial toilet.

That clogged siphon was a beauty like it was a high tanker for sure! but for a 1-gallon toilet its actually pretty good, I wouldn't install in my home from a modern toilet that didn't do that well. The Vormax design is rather neat but the length of the flush is the real issue being only 1 Gal - bulk performance is above average (as it tried on the larger items but not enough) and the flush is alright (rinse is good but clearance is not so - but does do it on two flushes equaling 2 Gals) however it does have some power so using more water would be a real contender for it to be a really good toilet. As it is it gets a 'Okay' 6/10 👌(*The Project Source Eco is still the king of the UHET toilets thus far)

I’m honestly surprised it managed to pass even a washcloth considering it has the AS Tofino style trapway opening, which from my experience, AS Tofinos are unusable on normal use. The double flapper mechanism is just as flawed as it can get, they don’t use standard parts which make them way more expensive to service. Kohler and Toto did it way better with the rimless 360 vortex flush design
