2022 BMW 540i Spec Review, Features and DRIVE

Throw a few bolt on mods into this and it will easily make over 400 bhp with that B58TU engine. I’m looking to pick up one of these on the used market and think it will be a steal at the current prices (under $40k and nearly fully loaded)

How did you come with the 14.3 1/4 mile time? Motortrend has it at 13.2 sec and 0-60 mph at 4.6 sec

I’m sure every person who test a vehicle will get some kind of different result. This is what makes reviews, I used my own testing equipment which I regularly calibrate but this is also a older review which I no longer use this equipment 👍

@@HawkeyeRides I get what you are saying but 14.3 would put it in the same league with a V6 Camry. Dragy, V-box are great tools and cheap. Also just go of Car and Driver or Motortrend numbers as they have top of the line equipment and drivers. They also test at a certified drag strip sometimes. I did enjoy the review. Other then that good job

This is the 540i What would this compare to as Audi doesn’t have 4 trims and this shows a viewer what a deal this trim is without going twin-turbo v8 👍

European and V8 do not ever go well together. Stick with the Inline 6 or the 4 Cylinder.

I like the 6 cylinder power over the 530i, for performance, tech and luxury it’s a great value but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea 👍.

If you look at the BMW 303 or 503 it’s more-less the same style, the design is to help air flow cool engine compartments and help with better aerodynamics.
