When it drops to 50 degrees in the winter here in Florida, a heated steering wheel feels really good if you have arthritis in your hands which is exacerbated in the cold damp weather. Is a nice feature for us older folks.

M440i is more aggressively tuned and makes more power, but I personally prefer the interior and styling that we get with the 5 series. If comparing the 440i grand coupe 4-door, I’d have to get my hands on one before I can really say but the 5 series has always been my favorite from bmws lineup.

@@WTFCRLT1 More I look into it, the more I agree the 5 series redesign is better and it’s 3L six w/hybrid elec motor, makes it a performance monster. The 5 is also slightly bigger inside and has more premium materials while costing just a bit more. I know which one I want now. 👍

Is this really the 2023? Doesn’t have the single longer display combining center control and cockpit in the rumoured 2023 design. Seems like a 2022 to me.

It is. 2023 is the last model year that will have the older i drive system without that long screen that you mentioned. I just took delivery of mine last month, and on the spec sheet and window sticker it shows as a 2023 model.

It is, it’s jsut they haven’t done idrive 8 for this model. They are adding that to each models slowly, for example 3 series has it but 5 series still will get it next year

Dash/instruments panel is dated. At least its not that awful thing in the 3 series. Light steering with no road feel and bloated in size? BMW has become Cadillac. Yuk.

i drove the 2023 bmw 540i xdrive and the 2023 cadillac ct5. i like the ct5 more.

The CT5 has severe reliability problems like most everything GM produces. When somewhat exotic cars like BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover, etc. are more reliable than GM products, GM has a problem. Have been burnt by a few of them: Suburban, Escalade, Yukon. Won't touch GM.
