The 2022 #Buick #Enclave is one of the GM's largest crossover models, and the #Avenir trim is the most luxurious version. After driving the Enlave Avenir, we think it's a pretty great value for under $60,000, especially compared to the pricer Cadillac XT6. But would you prefer to have the Buick badge?

The Avenir interior size and wheel base are the most noticeable benefits. I've owned an XT6 2020 and now have a 2022 Avenir. I also own other brands. The price is similar once you fully equip the Buick. Yes you don't have super cruise. I'm ok with that. The cruise works great and brings vehicle down from speed smoothly if vehicle in front slows. I'll handle the steering and paying attention. The Buick benefits in better ride ( longer wheelbase) larger interior width and you shouldnt rub elbows, massaging chairs nice touch, center console design more modern with push button shifter, more rear storage, easier to use climate control layout, diamond stitch seats and a cleaner dash design in my opinion. The XT6 has a great front and rear design but the side profile (boxy) is lacking. The upgraded wheels still not proportional because of fender height. New design front of Avenir offers modern headlights and a good classic Buick rear. The profile screams Enclave but it's still fairly attractive. An added benefit is the new refresh is a little more uncommon vs XT6. The Cadillac name may matter to some, but for everyday use I'd take the Averir.

I got the 2023 Enclave Avenir and ditto Patersons thoughts. Don't understand why Cadillac would cost more but didn't even test drive it bc Mazda CX-90 was my second choice...3rd choice since wife wouldn't say yes to a Merc. S class sedan.

The concept of the passenger side 2nd row only sliding forward is to safely encourage loading from the passenger side, “USA driving, right hand side, going forward, most roads you’d enter are from the passenger/right hand side.” Definitely weird, but I could see the concept behind the idea.

Buick is also an older person vehicle so the 8” display and having analog display for speedometer etc. actually works really well because most people buying this Buick wants luxury but not too much, they want exactly what Buick is offering.

Most people don’t need digital gauge clusters, honestly the take rate of trim levels with digital gauges are low, unless the automaker has them as standard equipment.

I remember back in the day when Cadillac went digital they panned it for German traditional gauges. Now that Audi came out with same tech but futuristic for todays age it’s all the rage. I swear car magazines are paid off by the Nazi. Every other nations cars get panned but German and now Korea and both country’s cars engines blow up. Coincidentally

Might sound old fashioned but more unnecessary electronics like gauges are just another thing to glitch out.

The new 2023 honda pilot has 114.3 cubic feet of space even though it is 6 inches shorter than this enclave, so that is the new cargo space king

No, you need to close the tailgate on the way back from Lowe's. Pilot is boring even with the gimmick colors. So is the Acura MDX which is closer to being a luxury comp.

Pilot def does not have more cargo space. The 2nd row seat is only a bench and the seat bottoms are short (as are the front seats) Enclave has more leg room, more room overall for passengers and cargo space. It's not even close, and the drive is smoother and more quiet. The Pilot may have 114 cu/in of passenger volume, not cargo space.

It feels almost the same to drive, it's larger, and has similar features (besides Super Cruise). For much less, we'd take this over the XT6.

I like everything about the Avenir BUT its value. Give me 3 reasons why to purchase an Avenir over a comparably equipped Palisades, Telluride, or Highlander

Just playing devil's advocate for Buick here. 1. It's larger than those and has more storage space. 2. The Buick badge is more "premium." 3. Sorry, we only have 2 reasons.

If I may add additional reasons: 1. The underpinnings of the Buick are much higher quality. Im not very mechanical but will say after riding all of them the suspension is much more refined over bumps and more premium on the Buick.

I drove a palisade when I had my Cadillac xt5 and I could hear everything on the road.. a lot of tire noise and a rough ride..the driveline on the Cadillac was much smoother and the transmission shifts quicker than the Buick the xt5 also bested the Lincoln aviator.. I'm at the end of the lease with my now xt6 and I'm looking at the Buick but I've heard those laggy transmission shifts.. the interior is not as polished as the caddy either

3) ENCLAVE has a longer wheel base for a more comfortable ride and helps with the factory tow package on my 2023 Avenir in Rich Garnett.

Even with the heated and cooled backseats the Korean vehicles wont have the same resale value as the Buick

How many times does he call this an Envision? lol The XT6 and the Enclave do NOT have the same motor. The LFY motor in the Enclave is the previous gen motor than what Cadilac is using. The LGX motor in the XT6 utilizes active fuel management (cylinder deactivation) which the Enclave does not. If you are someone who can pick up on particularities in nuances, and if you drove the cars back to back you can notice a difference between the drivetrain. No normal person is going to be able to pick up a discernible difference between the two motors. And frankly, most people would rather not have cylinder deactivation. The variable suspension and adaptive chassis puts the Avenir leaps above the Koreans. As someone who owned two Telluride SXP, the Avenir with variable suspension is far more composed with less body roll than the Koreans. Any comments that the Enclave is floaty and super soft would be grossly incorrect, this is not your grandparents Buick of the 80's and 90's. Is the ride softer than an X7, yes, is it 'floaty' no....floaty is the Grand Victoria that bounced going down a flat road, that is not the Buick's of today. The Enclave Avenir with variable suspension is both smooth & soft while being simultaneously extremely composed and comfortable. The build quality of the Buick is also noticeably better than Kia/Hyundai twins. The Buick seats are also far more comfortable than Kia's extra stiff padding.

this reviewer has an awful lot of personal likes that dont reflect anything but that. the screen is too small ,not enough digital display? good grief

I'd agree that the center screen is not the largest. It is functional and displays navigation with fairly good detail. I don't mind the anologue instruments in cluster. I'd take take hands over a digital watch any time. But I am 56 years old 😉

18 infotainment screens are awesome, but most people will take a smoother ride, more quiet cabin, and more comfortable seats over a bigger screen. Realistically, that 9" screen on the Enclave is more that suitable for what you will do with it.
