2022 CFMOTO 700CL-X First Ride

I was not expecting the woohoo! when you switched modes. I did the same on a recent ride. I was riding by the coast on a straight road at a fun pace in Eco. I was right at the 5k rpm power band and switched to sport. Since I didn't have to close the throttle it did a sudden pull. My hands were on the handle but not tight. Nothing happened but it was very exciting. Fun bike. It is a very good bike, and I will only say "for the price" because it has some quirks. But everything else I think is on par with the big bois in the same class of bikes. Take away the brand name and it is purely a well made motorcycle with a lot of thought in how all the elements come together. But truthfully even Ducatis, have quirks.

Bro this is Empire cycle no way! I would love to get in touch with you. I’m a new rider, moved here a year ago from Houston (we’re I felt motorcycle riding would not be very safe - horrible drivers ) and did the STAR course and got my endorsement as soon as I moved here. There were no bikes in stock last year and I went and test rode ALL of these CF Motos! I loved the 700 as well as the 650 and am picking mine up in about 3 weeks!

That's very exciting, congrats! As of now, I haven't seen any options for a rear fender eliminator kit but I have asked around and hope to hear back soon. I'll post an update as soon as I get more information.

Nice-looking bike, but I think the XSR700 is more attractive. Very planted, incredible grip, he says at less than 30 mph.

I agree bro! Both bikes have their own attractive factors and looks are subjective anyway. What I like about the CF Moto however is that it's a lot of bike for the money!!

It looks decent and pretty good, and the price is excellent really. I don't like the X on the headlights and the X on the front mudguard, makes me think of some childish super hero symbol like straight out of Marvel or something, doesn't feel adult like. The rear and side is very good, and the exhaust is nicely done. Most of the bike is actually very nice, and the thick suspension and the LEDs. I must admit the side panels and split of the tank, to me, its just too many different panels. I prefer a more uniform and rounded tank, and it is rounded, but its too many overlapping panels and colours. I prefer a single colour for the entire tank and nice detailing around the tank opening, and then to show off the rest of the motor and frame, a bit like the SV650 or Benelli 752s or Leoncino 800. The big X symbols on this bike, it just reminds me of Marvel and seems not so subtle but a bit cheesy. Its a cool bike in many respects and for the price I might forgive the above, but there is something Marvel and childish looking with it, the Benelli looks more Adult and Boss like.

As an overall package and for a new company, it is a great machine! I get what you means by the x badges on the bike but looks are so subjective, you know? The way the bike is designed, I am sure you could customize it relatively easily and turn it into something else entirely!
