There's just no other experience like driving a muscle car with a meaty, howling V8. Recently went on vacation and rented a Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody while I was out. I have a long commute to work so I drive a very average Hyundai Sonata lol. So to get behind the wheel of a muscle car for once really made the trip 1000x better. I'm personally not a huge fan of Camaros, but the ZL1 absolutely demands respect.

Absolutely love the ZL1 with a 6 speed. Sounds amazing, interior is actually really nice and is a huge step up from the 5th gen camaros, and overall the car is just a blast to drive.

@@FocusedTrades you can check my channel for a zl1 1le 6 speed manual review. Visibility is trash. That's why ppl compare visibility to the camaro, to show how bad it is in comparison. With the backup camera, good use of your mirrors, and sheer speed (incase you don't see something and need to speed up/brake to avoid), it is very liveable.

@@FocusedTrades I'm 5'6'' so I'm a pretty short guy. The visibility is definitely limited, but when you're as short as me, you can get used to it fairly quick. It can be a challenge to get out of certain parking spots sometimes

this has got to be the most capable bang for your buck vehicle on the market right now and its not even close. where else can you get 650 v8 supercharged horsepower in a frame that is very track friendly and purpose built with track in mind FOR 65K??!?!? this has to be at the top of the list. ive always been so amazed at how forgotton about or underratted the camaro zl1 has been even going back to 2014 or whenever it was released. hardly anyone talks about it. i think its becuase of the "camaro" title which automatically pushes a certain group of people away. i cant deny im one of those people for sure im not a camaro fan at all, except for the ss and zl1. this car has always been absolutely mental and best bang for buck car ever since 2014

as a car guy, I've owned a couple of cars ranging from a srt8 challenger, abarth, c63, rx8 R3, Mazdaspeed 6, and the list goes on. But nothing prepared me for the painful release of my daily driver as the pandemic dawn on me with my first child on the way. Jumping back on the saddle and looking for cars has me in a dilemma, as i have already been given the stink eye by my wife to not purchase a second car that is a 2-seater... which kinda makes you think the same for a 2-door... BUT 1:51 has given me so much hope. Thank you. Like, seeing that literally made my day. I will smile for the rest of the week knowing that not all is lost and there hope lol

Awesome to see Que's ZL1 back on the channel.... Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeshhh that ZL1 is amazing and the exhaust is perfection. I did have a question for Que if he sees this. Have you considered a catch can by any chance? I can tell you I have one on my 2SS 1LE and it seems to pick up a good amount of stuff every 6 months when I empty it out. Just something to consider because I'm sure the ZL1 would pick up more junk than my car. Amazing ride, was just curious if you had thought of a catch can yet. Awesome video Topher!

I had a manual zl1 but it was recently stolen even though I was selling it I actually had a 19 ss 10 speed before for 1.5 years then my 2018 zl1 6 speed for almost 6 months and kinda got tired of v8 but I fell in love with the zl1 rev match 6 speed manual, I’m a German obsessed gt3 fan now so went from 750 hp 6 speed zl1 3900 lbs to my next shortly 991.1 gt3 3.8 F6 475 horse pdk only 3100~ lbs 9k rpm sounds absolutely insane

You should definitely get a Manual ZL1/1LE and simply swap out the stock GY3R tires for street tires like PS4S. You will be a quite happy. It's the very best of the Alpha chassis. That being said - take it for what it is - it's a car that 'transmits' instead of gliding over the road.

I've actually heard that it's not good to remove the big bathtub styled rear muffler when getting an exhaust because it prevents the parachute effect that that empty space will create while driving. so if u remove it to put in a new exhaust n travel high speeds, a parachute effect will occur - slowing down the car n making it harder to get faster

It’s honestly crazy how these LS engines backfire on stock tune and exhaust. I’ve got a 11’ SS w/manual and it backfired so consistently it’s crazy. I’ve learned how to control the backfires with the pedal too
