Yeah but it sure is exhilarating . I have several . My favorite is a 1973 golden pinto . It only runs 41 mph but it does it in 3.8 seconds . Since there is no real suspension you feel it all and it feels like you're going about 150 . It'll actually run 46 mph but that last five mph takes awhile.5.1 seconds total

This was pretty cool, but no finish line shots! I wish they would have told a little about the little motors. we drag race 300> horsepower motorcycles in the dirt! I can see some special parts on most of the bikes. Very cool and interesting. Bill BBDR DIRT DRAGS 👍👍

What gears do they run? I want mine to go way faster than it goes now. I tried the stock 10t on and aftermarket 60t but only picked up a mph faster. When I put my 212 on its gonna need to reach at least 90 mph or so. I have a slightly modified 196 on it now. But it also has the stock jackshaft with a 10t clutch, 20t main sprocket with a 10t drive sprocket and a 50t rear sprocket. I even tried the 60t and really didn't feel a difference. But when I put my 212 on I don't plan to use the jackshaft and if I do I wanna go a different route on the jackshaft. But not sure what gears are gonna put me into the 90 mph range

To get a higher speed outa the 212 your guna need to mod the engine internally alot also tire size plays a factor into gearing aswell

As of now I have the stock tire size, 19x7-8. Some say I need to go smaller. As of now I still have the 196 but it's slightly modified and I have a 10t front and 60t rear. But my 212 is all billet and forged internally. It has a billet rod, forged wiseco piston, stock crank, 275 dyno x cam, titanium lifters, hardened push rods from NR racing, 26 lbs springs, roller rockers, took the governor out, hardened valves, ported and polished head, amr300 supercharger, nitrous, keihin 26mm carb, aluminum intake, racing header, NGK plug, billet flywheel, and a no rev limited coil with a transparent wire which is kool lol. But it's built and almost ready to fire. I have to get more fuel line yet and another fuel pump. It quit working for some reason. But the engine is gonna have plenty of power. Just needs the right gear and the right tire size. I wanna go with a Jr dragster rear tire, but not sure what size to go with. I don't wanna go too big, but yet I don't wanna go too small either. I was also thinking about going with a 3 or 4 disk clutch if that makes a difference on anything.

I have two that need them . I have torn up seats footpegs a kickstand and a backrest because they jump out from under you and you can either hang on as the front end comes up and fly the bike down ..... possibly rip your shoulders out of socket or break your wrists......or you can do what an old man like me does in that situation and plant your feet and let go and watch the bike tumble.....then cry when you order parts ....
