Manitoban, I had to laugh, I've been on so many potages where I couldn't find it, could totally empathize. Real shitty about the ticks, we don't have them in the Saskatchewan Shield....yet, but they've been moving their way North. Really enjoyed the the trip, it's got me pumped up spring breakup! At least there was rapids to narrow things down, been there when going overland and that’s no fun! I didn’t know that about North Sask, if you say there’s no mosquitoes then I might have to move and rename myself saskatchewinian outdoors. Nice trip May have to try that route someday. If the double blade gave you any blisters try weightlifter gloves or paddle gloves. I have a bending branches one that eats up my thumbs!
