I think aV-8 option is something they should have done from the get go, however, the last time I was at Ford technical school they were talking about getting rid of the V-8. Could they back track on this yes and I believe they should.

What is Ford is still gonna make a Bronco Raptor, but its only gonna have the v8 that might be in the upcoming raptor. The warthog, however (if the bronco raptor does happen) would just gonna get the v6 that's in the current raptor

I'm waiting. I just checked and mine is still on the first option, reserved and I reserved mine the day it was opened. I was so bummed to know I might have to wait another year. I've already outlived my life sentence beating two primary cancers squamous cell carcinoma that spread to my bones and endometrial cancer. I don't have a suv since someone totaled mine while I was sick and now that I've been cleared I just want to drive. It was hard enough to wait the past year but then another bronco better coming out the following year just seems kinda ridiculous. I dunno. If I call in the next few hours and they tell me it will be next year I just can't wait that long. Now with Covid even used cars have rocketed in price so buying a used car to sell within a year just to get the Bronco seems like a pain and more expensive now. Guess I'll sleep on it.

The perfect engine for the warthog would be the 5.0. Coyote engine but I bet that the new suspension as described will be the time bomb for the warthog. Keep the vehicle true to the engineering that has worked great for years with Ford and make this first edition vehicle truly an outdoors mans vehicle.

That’s exactly why I belive it will take some time for the Bronco to catch up to the Wrangler. Jeep will always be ahead when it comes to aftermaket support in the 4x4 industry. no hardcore 4x4 enthusiest will keep a vehicle stock.

Before a lot of off-road vehicles got to the consumer 4x4 guys already had this thing configuring different shocks springs tires even lift kits but this vehicle nothing !! All we see is commercials with the bronco bouncing all over the place not good !!

If they did something like a dynatrac version, that came with 1 ton rear, and dynatrac's 1 ton independent front, they'd actually be a jeep killer. Although the aftermarket not having any to play with is not a good sign, at least in the short term.

My guess is they actually plan to release this shortly after the first full size bronco as a surprise and to help share the demand but maybe not. Probably wait a good couple months so they don't hurt eachother but if it has a v8 they wouldn't wait long to try to steal the win from jeeps 392 wrangler

Smoke and mirrors....Yeah so many components have to be upgraded to run 37 inch tires it’s going to be expensive if you can imagine that’s what Ford is pushing for , this will not be a nickel less than 85,000 so you choose between an $85-$90,000 raptor that competes with the TRX or you can buy the “warthog“ that supposedly will outdo the Rubicon that already has a V-8 so yeah Ford is catching up, as usual, And you can bet Dodge will not chase this one trick pony so to speak because nobody needs or wants a crossover between a raptor and a Rubicon or this case a bronco that will have, high-speed capability...And pricing themselves out of the market

The Warthog will never have a coyote, period. It doesn’t need it. It’s cab size class directly competes with the Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler is not a full size SUV, nor is the Warthog. Now the Warthogs size and weight by its class will heavily benefit from the Raptor’s HO 3.5TT, which it will probably receive, but the only vehicle getting a coyote, either tuned N/A or FI, will be the Raptor based solely on its size and weight.

Jks are reliable. 100k miles on my 2014 and 0 issues. I’ve put 8k in upgrades. Only issue is rust and poor interior quality

LOL yeah, "talking" about size online is one thing, but seeing it in person, that can be breathtaking ;-) And given the way competitors have been upping the branding ante (TRX for instance) I totally agree Warthog is going to be tough to top. Considering both the Rubicon and the Warthog, well I'd have to drive them both, but I'll admit I have a leaning to the Bronc as of this writing. I don't know if the styling, as iconic as it is, of the Jeep is getting a tad stale to me or not, but I do favor the look of the Bronc. IF it is as capable (or perhaps more so) then it's the winner. Hell, the EcoBoost is a great engine.

Just canceled my full sized bronco order and built a beautiful sport badlands,Area 51.Never though I would trade my gladiator for the baby bronco,then I drove a few and I was blown away and these little monsters can do so crazy off road if and still drive it every day! I bought the bronco base model and I absolutely love it....... one day..... this warthog will be mine! The base comes equipped with the 1.5 3 cylinder and it is quite zippy..... I couldn’t imagine a V8 in the warthog.... maybe a V6 but no way a V8 would be put into one of these things
