My $0.02. 1. There is no 4 wheel alignment when you have a live axle rear. 2. If you actually have an alignment problem you'd have signs and uneven wear, and if you have that problem you are already exposing the new tires to it. Should have it done before you leave the shop with new tires if you have reason to believe you need that. If the truck is tracking straight and wearing even you don't have an alignment problem.

Alignment was performed immediately after tires were mounted. This particular shop could not accommodate the truck dues to its overall length, so it went back to Ford directly for the alignment to be performed. This was at the recommendation of Goodyear themselves Ford wanted nothing to do with the tire issue. They will automatically refer you to the tire warranty that came with the truck as now. It is now documented directly at Ford that the alignment was performed to their specifications, by their technicians. I 100% agree with your thoughts on drivability. This truck drove as straight as an arrow with no wandering at all. Personally, I do not believe these tires specifically belong on this truck. I will say that Goodyear was more than fair with this issue. The tires were prorated, but it was very reasonable.

@@lakes2land780 It's not uncommon to get 30,000 miles or less out of a set of tires that come on a truck from the factory. My 2011 GMC had Bridgestone Dueller tires, and they were almost bald at 28,000 miles. The factory tires, even if it's a good line or model, I think are ordered with less tread depth to cut costs. BC on 2 of the 3 trucks I have bought new I have been really disappointed with factory tires and they usually wear out fast.

I totally agree. I will see how these tires make out then have to ultimately decide on another tire, manufacture, or model of tire.

How do you do a 4 wheel alignment on a solid rear axle Truck with no adjustments in the rear?

Good question .

these tires are for 1/2 ton trucks and if on f350 doing alot of towing regardless of weight they are going to wear quicker; I have a 1/2 ton and do NO towing at all and I currently have over 50,000 miles on mine and the Tate Boys tire store said about 2 weeks ago they were measuring at 6/32 which is really good as these are a 60k mile tire I believe; If I were towing though I would definitely purchase some much better tires for towing

That’s the plan…but I need to find a good, quality tire that will hold up.

@@lakes2land780 absolutely i agree...a friend of mine does hot shot deliveries with his f350 (non dually) and told me that he is on his 3rd set of cooper discoverer tires and his first 2 sets were the cooper discoverer at3's and this last set he bought are the at3 xlt and is real happy with them on his truck.....he did say that he bumped up in size from 275 which came stock to the 295 and that he gets 60-65k on average...best wishes on your search

All correct, not sure a 3500 P/U doing any towing can be considered light truck. Over 52k on mine (Tundra) over 6/32nds.

What PSI were you running? I'm thinking about getting a set and there seems to be lots of ideas about the right PSI? Did you do the chalk test to see if you had the best PSI for uniform wear? tks!

Front 60 psi and rear 80 psi. Rotations at every oil change performed by dealer.

Glad you got some sort of a resolution at Goodyear. Ford should have done something. Offered the prorated price, towards a better tire or different brand.

They wanted nothing to do with it. Service manager handed me the Goodyear manual with warranty information faster than a plate of pancakes 🤣
