I was just given an ipad that a neighbor received from a friend and he forgot the password. He was going to throw it out so I said I would take it to experiment with. Oddly there is no label saying what model it is? It is dead so I guess I need to get a charger off of ebay or amazon. He said it was still under his friends account so I don't know what that means. This only works if you have the erase option turned on . And if your iPad is connected to the WiFi as well so ppl without the setting option on and WiFi it doesn’t work . One of many reasons why I'll always see Apple products as inferior to other brands that use Android or any other format. Apple is to exclusivity as the U.S is to imperial measurements. They both want to be unique but end up giving everyone a hard time. You can't even view your pictures without Apple having to confirm your identify. Never understood why people claim Apple products to be user friendly when literally everything you want to do requires extra steps and things like resetting your passcode or product requires another device to do so as opposed to a simple button prompt. Abysmal and overpriced products that are the epitome of the word "pretentious".
