I would hazard the guess that fewer than 25% of folks have backed up their iPad. Coming from an IT environment, I’m all too familiar with the look I got after asking when they last backed up their device. Glad to see this video. Does this usually take forever. Mine pulled up the apple logo and in a bit went black again. This is what my computer is saying and has been for about 39 min. Status bar says ... preparing iPad for restore... With a blue bar all thr way across it. The iTunes box says. iPad recovery mode. iTunes is restoring the software on this ipad. Nothing is happened for awhile now. I clicked the home button on the ipad just to see if I missed anything and it is saying. Disabled. Try again in 1 hour. Has something gone wrong? Hi Daniel, the Ipad I have, used to be my daughter's long time ago. She gave to my niece and my niece used a bit and now 3 years later my niece is not interested anymore in the Ipad and gave to me to put in the recycle bin. I am confused, so all these steps and why go to ipsw and download the file and go threw all those steps if you can just simply turn on itunes and restore it since anyways you will loose everything and then get it back with your backup? wouldn't it save you so much effort just doing that right off the back with itrunes and not needing to go threw all those other things?
