Acquired on 04/19/2022 this is a brand spanking new 2022 Gibson Explorer. It’s from their Original Collection so it’s a 3 piece Mahogany body in Antique Natural, Mahogany slim taper profile neck, 3 control: 2 Volume 1 Tone, Mini-Grover tuners. I don’t know what all to say about this guitar I absolutely LOVE it! It feels so different to play something without a bound fretboard again. I’ll get to it eventually one of my 9 guitars(7 of which are Les Paul’s) is my 1st ever Les Paul & it did not have a bound fretboard. This Explorer is Amazing. I purchased it directly from @gibson on their website on a Friday it was delivered by Tuesday. I’ve decided I have exactly 2 guitars: a Firebird in Cherry and a Flying V left(that would be 11 total) to buy and then I’m done for a good long while. As for this guitar I start on the clean channel on a 100W 2005 Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100 and with the bridge pickup and play through each selector position. There’s a tiny little blue something or other in the tone pot where one would have expected a capacitor to have been. IDK what this is does anyone else?
