The server chain. Thank you. Did not know those existed and I will be getting one to use exactly the same way. Nice rig!

Looks good! Wish I could afford this vehicle too and with some of those accessories! But I opted for ‘23 Tacoma TRD OR long bed lunar rock which fits my needs better. Went off-roading in CO for first time this month all stock. Found out that ill slowly get bed rack, roof top tent (more space and less time to setup tent), new wheels and rubber, lift, and sliders once vehicle ages bit more. Don’t think I’ll do anything super crazy like others though!

Not sure if youve changed it but you mentioned direct wiring the blue sea panel and taking it off of the garmin power switch. You can direct wire the blue sea panel to the battery with a relay inline, and use the garmin to sebd power to tuen the relay on. That gives full amperage from the battery, using the garmin to switch it on without needing to flip the switch on the panel

Looks awesome...Love the color and the rim are super cool. So i have a 2013 GX460...I didn't catch the size tire you are using and rim diameter? Is it a 285? And 17 inch rim or did you stay with the 18s? I have kdss is yours using the same system KDSS? You also said 3 inches of lift? Back and front Icon Stage 2?
@mrmattson Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Tires are 285/70/17 with an Icon Stage 2 kit which is adjustable in the front from stock height to 3” and a rear 2.5” spring. That will level out a stock GX. However, I am running a lot of extra weight in the rear with the loaded drawers, swing arm, spare, fridge and rock sliders. So I ended up upgrading to 3” rear springs which leveled it out and made a HUGE difference in ride, cornering, acceleration, braking and comfort. I am running the factory KDSS system, the Icon kit comes with an adjustable rear track bar and haven’t had any leaning issues.

Where did you get your side roof rails? I own a 2008 Gx470, and I have been looking for some that will fit. Your gx460 looks amazing. I love it. Great job with your build.

Great build! I have a similar 2022 in white. Just curious, how do you mount your cell phone? I haven’t found a great solution. thanks!

I haven’t found anything good either. Found a few good options for pre-2022 nav interiors. Maybe I’ll do a video on options.

I did a ball ram mount to the right of the shifter above the touch pad. More of a permanent no going back solution but I plan having this long term.

Did you cut the side rocker panels yourself for the side steps? That install looks so clean.

Beautiful truck! Curious on how you're liking thr Magnaflow? I have a 23 in Nori and the magnaflow overland on my 2002 4runner. Interested on how you like the sound, performance, amd drone if any? Thanks!
@mrmattson Жыл бұрын
I’m really happy with it. Doesn’t drone or sound too loud. I didn’t have a bit of an issue with fitment with it hitting parts of the suspension, so I took it to a custom exhaust shop and had them make some modifications. Could have been because of the lift but not sure since I put the lift in at the same time as the exhaust. If I can get a hold of some good mics I’ll do a video on it.

I just noticed your note about the rearview camera placement. Did you purchase a special housing? Do you mind expanding on how you moved? I have a similar swingout so have the same issue. Thanks!

Hey! Greaty Build, does yours have MTS and do you ever use it? Want to get a 2023 but none of them have MTS or the off-road package. Thinking of either getting a GX 460 and building it or getting a 4runner trd pro

lol. you're probably the first to ever say a 4runner is better than a landcruiser prado...which is what the gx is called everyone else in the world. It's quieter, safer, has a superior sound system, more interior space and is an equally customizable platform. ....you might want to take your head out of the hole for a bit.
