One of the best gifts I received passed away last year. However, I was a lonely, angsty teenager once upon a time, and for my 15th Birthday, my parents finally allowed me to have a dog. I got a miniature dachshund, who I named Ruby because of her short reddish brown fur~ She was so adorable, and I felt so warm and lucky whenever I held her. She was my loyal, funny, and most of the time mischievous companion for around 16 years. She was the best! However, when I said she was mischievous and bold...I mean it. She was so feisty! I can count on one hand the amount of times when she *didn't* get into some kind of mess in the house, and there are countless times when she *did* cause trouble.

I lost my three dogs over the last couple of years. They were littermates and for about 10 years they made every day of my life so impossible and yet so warm and filled with love. I miss them everyday. I'm so sorry for your loss 😔

Bookish related one of my favorite gifts was a nice copy of pride and prejudice. Not bookish related one of my favorite gifts is something for my migraines. It velcros around your head. The inside has zipper pouches for ice packs (that were included). Since I suffer from dehabilitating migraines frequently, I LOVE this gift.

I love my Kids fire tablets for my heathens! It is SO great for all it has and I love that I can access it from my account! TOTALLY better and cheaper than an Ipad!

Those Robin Hobb special editions are lovely and very tempting...do I need them? I've been lucky I've had some really great gifts. One, I gave to myself-my first (of many) Disney cruises (definitely worth the hype and the money). I had been given a beautiful Keeshound for my 10th birthday by my parents. Bitsy (as she was the runt of the litter) ran the house and sang the song of her people (they're very vocal though not quite as much as a husky, but they howl quite a lot) for 11 years. She was gorgeous and sassy and still missed.
