Wanted a Si as a practical daily but they're hard as hell to find and the ones that were available were marked up. Got a WRX 2k under MSRP instead.

Thank you for a fresh take on a great car and value. Though I love my BRZ I can see the appeal of the SI’s enthusiastic practicality after I recently relocated to Seattle. This is back on my “thinking about it” list though a Mini Cooper with an automatic may be higher up due to Seattle’s traffic and hills.

Granted I tested this at 8,000ft elevation but I was underwhelmed by the power and I would recommend a Hondata as the first mod!

I wouldn't want to put more power into that small eco-derived engine, but getting rid of the rev-hang would be huge.

@@psewgobind This motor seems fine with the Hondata power with not much degradation in reliability.

@@CruiseControl1 True, just getting rid of emission negatives would be noticeable power gain. But, I still think K20 in my old 10th Gen Civic is a better engine, which could do continuous lapping without any drama.. If 11th Si had the regular K20 engine, I would have bought it instead of my Elantra N. Ideally, Turbo K20 (K20C1) would have made Canadian built Si the ultimate Honda (we can only dream)....but the Japanese are a prideful bunch.

@@psewgobind I had an 8th gen Si coupe in Blazing Orange Pearl with a k20z3 and I loved that engine and the manual was fantastic. A detuned or smaller turbo k20c with 250ish hp would be amazing in the new Si and would be a great alternative to your Elantra N.

@@CruiseControl1 Would be Cool since I've been a Honda fan boy since the 80s (started with a 85 CRX). I'm very impressed with Elantra N, but I've already bought 3 Civic brand new from Canadian assembly plant and those Civic are insanely durable. Seems like Honda is operating on pure ego and doesn't give a poop about the Canadian market.

FWD have better balance then RWD in all situations, if they weight around 2500lb and have a double wishbone up front.
