I absolutely love your sense of humor and descriptive input on this 2022. We recently just purchased the EX-L and are thrilled with it for all the reasons you mentioned. I love this van!

We purchased a 2022 Odyssey (Canadian spec). The sliding second row seats are amazing and I cannot imagine having a van without it. We have a newborn and we installed the rear facing carseat on the right side seat. We now can slide it towards the door to get the baby in and out easily, slide it to the middle to the safest spot in the car while opening room for our other 2 boys to enter/get out from the third row. My wife for the first coupe of months wants to sit in the second row and she can have the baby close to her (or slide even closer if she wants). The lack of the vacuum at first was a bummer but we now love the extra storage we get. The vacuum may just be a gimmick to be honest. Not sure it is more useful than the extra 2 storage spots we have. As for comfort... ventilated/heated seats, memory linked to each key seats and mirrors, heated steering wheel, the car pretty much driving itself on boring highways and dealing with the break/throttle in stop and go traffic makes you feel you are just siting in your living room relaxing and not driving. And boy does that V6 Vtec haul. Specially at higher speeds. It just goes and goes and goes. Paddle shifters sure add to the fun as they change gears pretty quick.

Love the unassuming power the Odyssey has, you aren't the right-lane relaxer most people think mini-vans are.

I just got this van yesterday for the family! I just love the interior, techs are awesome, luxurious feel and with the V6! Will plan for a long trip soon! Front looks like the old civic but i dig it. Sienna is our first choice but it is lacking something their LE is a joke no qc control you have to go for xle which the msrp is higher than honda's exl.

Looking to get an EX-L in May. Great review and sense of humor. Only thing I don't like is the dash display, looks cheap to me.

Thanks for the video. You mentioned that the VCM operates between 30-70 speed limit. Couldn't find reference for that anywhere in the net. Can I safely assume that I am not using VCM by setting cruise at say 72mph?

Steve Here: 30 to 70 mph is where the VCM is "most active". Honda Online Article Here: "Several V6 engines in the Honda lineup come with a tech called Variable Cylinder Management (VCM). With this system, drivers are treated to optimum performance on all six cylinders while accelerating. When in cruise between 30 and 70 mph, the vehicle will shift to three- or four-cylinder mode to save fuel, while still delivering premium performance." Steve Here: Once you're cruising at 70+ mph the system would still be active but I'm assuming because of the high speed operation that your fuel efficiency would still suffer a bit. Thanks for watching our video and hope you subscribe..:) Steve
