Great race at Laguna Seca as always! I know a lot of this is out of your control, but will commercials continue on Peacock? So far we had no ads on there but for this race there were so many that myself and others stopped watching the NBC broadcast entirely. As a fan of IMSA some more details would be nice so that there are no more surprises in the future.

@Adam B I would recommend email info@imsa.com. We were aware that some viewers were receiving commercials, others had a black screen display for commercial breaks and it just wasn't consistent. The matter is being addressed with NBC but I would defer to the above email for more information. Thanks!

I know that by commenting here my message may not get to the people who it concerns. But I'd love if the commentators/pit reporters wouldn't discuss the results or events of the support races, at least if they're like the Michelin Pilot Challenge or the prototype challenge, races that get posted here later. It's frustrating when you can't watch those races before the main event and then Hindhaugh or somebody else spoils the result and ruins the fun. Thanks for the uploads anyway.

"SPOILER" BELOW! . . . . . Based on the way they ran away from much of the reasonably-bunched GT-Pro pack - I'm guessing Stuttgart bitched and moaned until they finally got the kind of BoP they want. Hopefully, Campbell/Jaminet have way more results like Long Beach than Monterey lying ahead...

What I don`t get is why Corvette racing is so slow?
@mathewhosier97392 жыл бұрын
That's what happens when you try to de tune a faster car to compete in a slower class, it's a gte car competing in a gt3 class, IMSA obviously doesn't want Corvette to dominate so they go too far on the bop, it wouldn't be that way if Chevrolet would allow customer teams but the suits at Chevrolet are being ignorant, and this is why Chevrolet isn't taken seriously in the racing world
@mathewhosier97392 жыл бұрын
As an American sports car fan this is very frustrating
@adamb31292 жыл бұрын
@@mathewhosier9739 That’s not at all what’s happening with Corvette. IMSA is still trying to find a balance that’s good. Corvette had really good pace at Sebring and Long Beach. Obviously IMSA aren’t going to put the BoP that one car always wins. The people at Chevrolet aren’t doing anything wrong. Customer teams have nothing to do with BoP so I don’t understand how that is at all relevant, and they will have customer cars in 2024. No one is going to buy a customer C8.R even if it were available. GM is taken very seriously in the racing world.

@@adamb3129 Exactly. They didn't have a GT3 car so instead of building one they used the GTE car with diffetent aero and specs. People just comment crap and don't think and do a little research and common sense. The other teams are doing better because they already had gt3 cars.

Im normally a huge supporter of IMSA but you can tell they do their own BOP separate from the FIA, and they clearly got it wrong for this race, we almost had a bunch of individual races going on between each individual make, the oreca Acura dpi's had a clear advantage over the dallara Cadillacs, and Porsche had a clear advantage in gt3, the only reason lmp2 was balanced and competitive was because every lmp2 team uses an oreca
@narwhalyt72312 жыл бұрын
It’s kinda hard, the Acuras usually have an advantage on these fast, flowing tracks with short straights because of their aero and the lighter V6 engine. While there is a bop, the individual cars still maintain their specific advantages, which is what I kinda like about sports car racing.
@mathewhosier97392 жыл бұрын
@@narwhalyt7231 it's what I don't like about sports car and f1, you never know who are the best drivers because there's always an artificial advantage with one car or another, racing skill should be the biggest factor and it's just not here
@narwhalyt72312 жыл бұрын
@@mathewhosier9739 I always watch NASCAR and Indycar for the drivers. Sports Cars I’ve always seen as a battle between the manufacturers, not so much the drivers. F1 used to be the same way but now the rules let the cars be so expensive that it’s had to become a driver’s game.
@adamb31292 жыл бұрын
The FIA/ACO get their BoP wrong all the time as well. Some cars have certain strengths and at those tracks they will always have an advantage. Acura was faster here and will be quicker at Mid Ohio. Cadillac was quicker at Sebring and Long Beach. Porsche have always done well here. Also I would hope IMSA use their own BoP because there are no DPis in WEC.

IMSA is going the way of NASCAR and creating a terrible product with the GT Daytona class, might as well not even have a designated PRO class, because the speed differential is practically non-existent. Bring back the old IMSA classes and the product will be more interesting, NASCAR sucks horribly and you can tell by the lack of seats filled at their races, and with better promotion and better class distinction IMSA could actually HAVE some seats filled. Time to wake up IMSA if you want to maintain interest in this series...

Lol they keep ending to every euro trash complaint… ffs a few years back when they totally took Ferrari out of contention Porche had a bigger inlet than the Vettes did and yet the Porche was faster in practice everywhere. That was the year Ferrari could barely pass GTD Lexus . Remember them allowing BMW a non homologated car about 10-12 years ago? Audi sponsered the ALMS and got away with murder for Diesel rules… it’s been a joke of a sport since they went to the NA v10 formula.
