It gets REALLY OLD when all car reviewers always review only the most expensive trim available and never lower trims. To be honest, I believe statistically, the SEL trim sells way more than the Limited trim, yet all we ever see are reviews of Limited.

Good review you might want to mention the auto braking and auto hold features I bought this exact car 3 months ago and I absolutely love it and look forward to each drive for the handling and features You can not find a better feature loaded car for this price point and warranty including 3 yrs complimentary maintenance.

Hey Zack. Thanks for the review. It really helped when you told me that you were 6 foot two. So am I. Did you feel like you had enough headroom then? I understand that, with the panoramic moonroof, you’ll lose an inch and a half of headroom. It seemed like you were comfortable nonetheless?

Picking ours up tomorrow. In lieu of trade-in allowance, they did customize by installing leather. The blind-spot videos on the Ltd. are sorta gimmicky, and the SEL gives you wireless Apple CarPlay. No aux in, but there's a USB data port--so an aftermarket portable CD player should work (per the player's website, and if it doesn't we can return it). Not a fan of the "mobility kit" instead of a spare (if you damage the sidewall or have a tread puncture >1/4" the sealant won't work), so ordered an aftermarket "donut" spare kit with jack.

@@Boomerette I'm kinda like you, I actually prefer the SEL Convenience over the Limited... I prefer the infotainment center for two big reasons... WIRELESS Android Auto (Limited is cord-only), and IT HAS PHYSICAL VOLUME KNOBS! (limited is touch button only... how annoying).

@@wesleypatterson3121 you're a LUCKY man! My local dealerships each stock two or three Tucsons at a time, and they're always the gas-only engines. To get my hands on a Hybrid ((SEL), I literally had to order mine.... still waiting.

The smaller infotainment (8”) has wireless CarPlay. The larger one doesn’t.

Limited trim has an infotainment that is WIRED Android Auto/Apple Carplay ONLY... all other (lower) trims (including SEL) have an infotainment with WIRELESS Android Auto/Apple Carplay... yes, the "cheaper" version has the better infotainment center!

How did you find the acceleration on this hybrid? I test drove the standard non-hybrid version and it felt like it had to scream in order to get up a hill. Did you feel that at all with that car or would you say that it's a big difference?

It definitely has more power off the line than the standard engine version. As far as on hills I don’t recall to be totally honest.

There's literally a lot more Horsepower and torque with the Hybrid than the gas-only version... so ya, not surprised you found the gas-only version unimpressive. To be honest, at my local dealership, they only ever have the gas-only version in stock... if you want the Hybrid, you either have to stalk the dealership for inventory refresh or special order one... I just special ordered my Hybrid, it will take 2-3 months to get here! lolz.

What’s the mph limit for the electric engine? Like if we push more than 30mph then it will switch to gas?

It runs in electric at 55 mph. Then switches back. I thought 40 wS the limit. Now I don't know where the cut off is.

Update! Just received mine in December and I LOOOOVE IT!! End up with Black with light gray interior. Was worth the wait. Awesome deal (good numbers, great payment). Still learning all the features and enjoying every minute with it.

It didnt show the side cam view when you turned on the indicator... the inforainment is a bit changed from the other videos I have seen... saw some physical buttons... i like this car

This is the SEL (mid-level) trim. The blind spot cameras come in the top trim level which is the Limited trim.

The eliminated the spare due to the hybrid battery. Not sure if you could make room for a spare. Will need to investigate.

Thanks for the comment Jerry! The SEL Convenience does not have a motorized passenger seat. You would have to go up a trim level to the Limited to be able to get a powered passenger seat.

Hey Alex, I apologize for the delayed response. This specific trim does allow you to use wireless CarPlay while on the wireless charging pad. Which is pretty perfect in my opinion.

My wife just bought this car in dark blue, she is super excited! One question....how do you turn off the reverse beep for the exterior? Every time you put it in reverse, there is an annoying audible sound, similar to a commercial vehicle. I have tried to turn it off every way possible, with zero luck. Is there a trick to it?

To my knowledge it can not be turned off. It’s a safety feature for people with limited eye sight and hearing. When the car is on electric only it is pretty quiet.

I have this car also in deep sea. That beep is really annoying and people stare at you When you’re backing up but it’s not nearly as annoying as running somebody over so I’m just fine with it.

If I'm not mistaken all true Hybrids and EVs have the same "feature". I believe it's actually required by law since at least the mid-2010s. That's why you can't turn it off.

I saw in KZbin but I forgot his account….he has same problem with you he don’t want how the backup reverse sound….I remember there is a black box under the front grille right side when you are facing the car…he use the dentist round mirror with handle the one with round small mirror…then he make a metal from the hanger to pull the wiring out…then he pull the wiring’s then remove the attachment from the box…its been a month already but can hardly remember the whole details…

Yeah under the trunk insert that has the fix a flat crap there is an indent that can fit one. Most reviewers seem to miss this fact.
