2022 Indian Scout Bobber 20

I've honestly have never ridden an Indian Motorcycle in my life before. There's a lot of things to like here.

Thanks for your review! I test rode 1 Scout back in 2019, not a bobber, didn't have as much fun as I thought I should. Maybe the suspension on your test ride wasn't adjusted adequately. Custom faring is available for Scouts, there is a Scout-specific windshield available, too. You can put Jekyll & Hyde exhaust on Scouts, one woman in our group did just that. As for the absent salesperson on your initial visit, shame on them, you wouldn't be ignored at our local dealership, the salesman's desk is on the showroom floor with the bikes.

I was told that the suspension was like that on this model. You can get a lot of add ons for the scouts but I rather just buy a more comfortable model with those features already there. It was a fun bike tho. As for the dealership they ignored me at least 4 times. I gave them a lot of opportunity before I bought my Fatboy.

I love my ISB because its a quick bike for a cruiser.... not like any softail which has a big engine but performs like a diesel powered van with no turbo

That's very cool. Everybody has different tastes and I love getting the perspective of other riders. It was definitely a fun bike and definitely quick like you say. Very Cool.

Great question. That certainly could have happened but whenever I went over to my local Harley dealer I was never ignored. My only concern there was that I wouldn't find a bike that I liked. If it was the case of being ignored I probably would have moved on to other dealerships outside my area. St. Paul Harley Davidson has a great sales team for example.

It doesn't have a windshield the shocks are not great I can feel the road. Are we riding motorcycles are driving luxury cars?

Your aircooled 103cu maxes out @5000rpm while that ISB rev limits @ 8300rpm.. aircooled engines need to rev. Lower so they wouldnt overheat. Thats why they made it bigger and bigger to make up for the loss in performance..

They rev lower because they have a longer stroke and bigger pistons and cylinders. In-line 4 sport bikes have very short stroke but it allows them to move quicker aka rev higher. Try a air cooled Indian. They have 111 cubic inch and a 116, it’s called the chief

They make it bigger, to allow for a longer stroke and less vibration at highway speed, sport bikes tend to buzz because of the high revving engine.

Air cooled engines make more torque, they also make them bigger because it makes more torque; resulting in more power in a bike as heavy as a Harley

it has a smaller engine than your fat boy, but it has about 25 more horsepower. it's cool you got to ride one, I haven't had the chance yet.

That's true but that horsepower doesn't make up for the fun factor or comfort in my book.

They are a nice-looking bike, I like that it is a low to the ground bike, but for a bike that is mostly for urban riding way too much horsepower.

The horsepower really isn't needed on this bike but maybe it's an Indian vs. Harley thing.

It's a fun bike with a lotta power for the size but it's literally painful to ride after awhile.

It happens at Harley Dealerships also to be fair. I think it really just depends on who is running the particular dealership. My local HD dealer is great though.
