I understand you've probably mentioned it millions of times, but flashing your height would be helpful. Also mentioning price. That's probably the #1 and only "stat" you should list for convenience. I understand I can just look it up quick but still! Thanks for the video

Nicest point is the fact that it is a true air cooled engine..no ugly oil cooler/radiator although Harley does a nice job of keeping their cooler unobtrusive. I think the Heritage edges the Chief out slightly mainly due to better/longer rear suspension, throttle control and possibly finish. I would have preferred Indian to have given this bike a monoshock.

I'm 6'5" and the wind was buffeting my head all around. Ordered one anyway, will probably mostly ride it with the screen off, will get a taller one if need be. Gorgeous bike, the 116 pulls like a freight train!
@dougguthrey23292 жыл бұрын
Try adding lowers. I bought a used Springfield that has lowers. I took them off once and the buffeting was bad. Put them back on and the buffeting was gone.

Nice bike but the price is ridiculous $30,000 CDN dollars. I paid $20,000 for my 2017 Triumph Trophy SE brand new. The prices of new bikes are just stupid….

Buffeting 9 times out of 10 can be eliminated with a set of fork mounted wind deflectors. My 2017 Springfield had same issue till I mounted the fork lowers.

Same here. I have the '17 Springfield. I took the lowers off once. One ride without and I put the right back on.

Nice. I would remove the windshield and put there the old one big chrome headlight. Funny is the strap on passenger seat. So and so, 100 times better than the "sport" version.
@richardvalitalo36702 жыл бұрын
I prefer my scout. How can you like the windshield then complain about the buffeting? Seems most bike shields suck.
@bikedude59112 жыл бұрын
Bob, I find it interesting (and a bit disappointing) that more manufacturers aren't using CF for their exhaust cans. As this video shows, Indian had to rob quite a bit of pannier space to ensure enough clearance with he exhaust. As well they have to line the bottom of the bags with heat shield. I have converted most of my bikes to CF cans for 2 reasons. One, my pillions and anyone standing near my bike are less likely to burn themselves (especially young children) and it allows for much tighter tolerance with other gear as the cans simply do not heat up. What are your thoughts?
@motobob2 жыл бұрын
Sounds sensible. Perhaps it’s a cost thing? And styling I guess - the chrome suits this bike

The two main faults I have with this bike are the the lack of locks on the saddlebags and the severe lack of lighting at the rear of the bike. Only two small led bundles that serve double duty as break lights and turn signals. This isn't enough. We need to be seen, especially from the rear. I really hate this design element.

Saw one at the bar the other day and I have to say I like it but I prefer the older style look sadly this sitting next to Harleys just looks like another Harley clone as where the older style with the long swept fenders and rounded bags you KNEW that was not a Harley it was something different something...new but always been there.
@omnivore2220 Жыл бұрын
I think they hit it on all points BUT for the bobbed mudguards. To me, real, functional mudguards actually look better than these bobbed transgressions. I really do not understand their thinking here. Its much easier to cut down a proper fender, if a customer feels he needs a bobber, than to add on to it..
