2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe on 35s - NO LIFT NEEDED!!

Our 2023 Rubicon 4xe was fine with 35x12.5R17 tires with no lift as well until we went offroad. We would rub on the tops of all 4 wheel wells. I added a 1.5" spacer and longer bumpstops and that took care of most of it. On road it worked fine with no lift.

This doesn’t surprise me. My wife never took it off road so we didn’t have this issue.

For someone looking for the spec wheel is 17"x9 Offset -12 tyre 35 12.50 R17 Back spacing isnt mentioned anywhere but I assume it would be 4.5.

Having owned the 4xe I personally wouldn’t buy it again (gremlins and recalls haven’t been worth it for me). That said it’s a lot of fun otherwise. Glad you found it useful!

Yep TPMS sensors were included and synced without issue. Lug nuts were also included. Overall excellent experience with custom offsets.

I’ve seen the all electric range very quite a bit. If you drive with the Regen mode on and do so in heavy traffic or under 40mph, we’ve seen close to 25 or 26. As soon as those speeds rise it’s a different story. If we do freeway speeds and no traffic we’d be lucky to get 17 miles.

Nope! Going from 33s factory to the 35s was a pretty minimal increase. If the electric motor had power it isn't noticeable. When the battery is dead, then its somewhat noticeable but not necessary to regear.

Couldn’t say for certain but they will likely fit with a wheel that has the correct back spacing. Just don’t expect it to flex completely off-road.

The only thing to consider is.that the Sahara has lower fenders than the Rubicon. You may have to swap fender flares. There's only about a million different options between OEM and the aftermarket world.

Correct. It's a 2022 Rubicon 4xe with 35x12.5 R17 tires on 17x9 KMC wheels with a -12 offset. Suspension is completely stock no (no lift, no level). I just took the stock tires off and put the new wheels/tires on.

@@patberry3388 the rubicons do come from factory with more height than the sahara's (I think an inch or two) so if you have a non rubicon wrangler and wanted to add 35's you would likely need to add a lift.

How is the drive compared to stock? I have the same vehicle, looking to put 35s or the metric 315s. Loads range in tires C or D? Did it void any dealership warranty?

Relatively unchanged. Stick the Jeep came with 33s so acceleration was minimally impacted. Handling with the wider tires was improved in the wet. We went with load range c to keep the softer ride. Dealership warranty will likely vary. Our dealership is pretty lax about this stuff and didn’t care

Great Video, Quick question for ya, When they did the PPF over the hood. Did the PPF leave any small air gap around the sticker where the material steps up to go over it? Im looking to do the same and wondered if u noticed anything like that where the decals are on the hood Thanks

Hey glad it was helpful. There is a small separation of the ppf from the hood around the outline of the decals. Maybe 2 to 3 millimeters of lift but not much. DM @harrisons.garage on Instagram and I'll send you some photos

Yep - When I ordered them from Custom Offsets, they installed TPMS Sensors which automatically synced to the Jeep after a mile of driving.

whats the electric range with the tire ups? did it suffere greatly?

It did suffer. I'd say the range for the sahara is about 26 miles and a stock wrangler is about 22/23. With these wheels and tires its about 21. This though heavily depends on the your speed. 70mph will probably only get you 17 miles. 30 to 45mph with stop lights and max regen on will get you 21 to 23 in my experience.

Assuming the 23 has the same ride hight as the 22 I believe you’ll need a 2 inch lift to fit on the sport. I believe the rubicon comes stock 2 inches higher than the sport. At least it did in ‘22.

@@wallyn1410 I'm assuming you have the rubicon. If you have the sahara you'll definitely need a lift to run 35s. that wheel with the -12 offset should work fine. That's the same that I'm running. What tire are you looking to pair it to? Anything wider that 12.5" could be an issue at full lock during articulation. If you do lift the jeep, 4xes generally require an extended drive shaft to clear the rear diff

But I am new to this, I saw your video it seems you did awesome job. What is the exact size of your wheels and tires? I will try to match that.

@@wallyn1410 since you're looking to achieve something similar to what I've got, the wheel your sent me will work perfectly in terms of backspacing. Any 35x12.5 r17 to r20 tire will complete the look nicely. If you want more rubber id do an r 17 or r18 (make sure your wheel matches). R20 works too but won't ride as plush.
