2022 Kia Seltos S AWD

I just purchased my new '22 Kia Seltos on TUE 11 Jan 2022. It has so much more STUFF than my previously owned '13 Kia Sportage had that I really did need a quick overview before I tackled select sections in the Owner's Manual. I absolutely loved my Sportage and I expect to eventually feel the same about my new Kia Seltos. Thanks for the compact overview.

I got my EX in snow white pearl a day before thanxgiving here in the states. I LOVE my new car... though it seems like every seltos reviews seem to forget to mention one little feature it has... It's such a little detail I think most new cars have these days, but I just found out that my EX's center armrest area(the storage) actually moves fore and aft, great for resting your right arm at the length you want... I know, small little detail, I wanted to point out, since my 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, which this car replaces, didn't have it. I have subbed the vid. Thanx for posting it.

Loved my 2021 Seltos...until the engine stopped working. Endless trips to the dealer for "oil consumption tests." It leaked over a quart of oil a month.! Turned out it was part of a huge Kia recall. At 25,000 miles, sold it back to the dealership instead of trading for a new one 'cause the engine is the same and we don't have time for endless repairs and tests

The Mazda CX30 and Chevy trailblazer has a power lift gate so i wish Kia would’ve offered it at least for the SX trim

I keep hearing people say that the right USB port is fast charging, but it looks like USB type A (old school rectangular ports). Fast charging is ONLY available on USB type C (newer long oval ports). So which does this have? Every video I've seen is hard to tell if it is type C or type A.

Power Brake fluid. Not power steering. It has electric power steering.

I’ve not owned anything new since 1994, currently have a 2004 Durango. Anyway, I’ve never understood the big deal about a power lift gate. Guess it’s nice for lazy people but not so much when your in a hurricane and waiting for the door to close after loading groceries.

That scenario is so unlikely you’d have much bigger problems loading groceries during a hurricane. I just now got one but it is nice, it is slow to lift but when you’re hands are full it’s a nice feature. Mine can also lock all the doors as an option while it closes

So it’s IVT or DCT , bc the specs online for the S model, say it’s both ?

Standard on the S trim is the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine mated to the IVT transmission. You can also option up for the S turbo package which adds the 1.6L turbo charged 4-cylinder engine that has the 7-speed DCT transmission. Thank you for watching and please subscribe to my channel!
