@@BMSLou I love it 💕 I still stand behind all my previous comments. It is an amazing piece of engineering and with a 5 year warranty you can’t go wrong. After driving it for nearly 2 years now I am even more in love with it than before. It’s got power going up hills and warns me when I do something wrong with all the bells and whistles. One of the best features is that it alerts you about upcoming speed cameras.

Just bought the 2022 S model and like it a lot. But it is also making me appreciate my Equinox because of all the storage areas on the inside. There a not enough storage areas in the Seltos and the ones there are so small. Decided to keep the Equinox also for now.

I bought a 2015 Terrain, with the 3.6l v6, used, I decided to spoil myself. My previous vehicle, was a 2003 Chevy cavalier, that I bought new, and it lasted me 13 years. I wanted an upgrade. I also wanted AWD, since I live in Alberta, and we get winter 5 months of the year. On the whole, I love it. Lots of storage, comfortable, even passengers in the back seat think it's comfortable, and the 3.6l v6 has LOTS of power, but It comes at a price. It's a pig on gas. I'm hoping to get the same longevity out of this vehicle, as I got out of my Cavalier, but I'm looking for alternatives already. The Seltos seems like a reasonable option.

We picked up our Kia Seltos AWD Turbo 2022 just before Christmas 2 months ago. We were very happy with it until the first snowstorm came last month (January ). It was really terrible. We couldn’t even leave from our driveway. The car couldn’t handle a bit of snow on the ground. We already have locked the Diff. but for less than a minute we can smell the clutch burning. So we quickly went back to the garage. Then last week another snowstorm, on the way back home, the car sliding like it’s not like a 4 wheel drive car should be. ( we were driving very slow) It’s actually dangerous. We used to have a Kia Sportage for the last 5 years, it was really good have no problem at all. Once there is snow we press the button to lock the Diff and drive really well. We didn’t need to have snow tire. But this brand new Seltos……Very disappointed. We went to talk to the service manager in the Kia dealership And his response is even worse. He said he can’t change the design the way the car is built. He didn’t even offer to check it out for us. I think it’s something wrong. It’s a brand new car !!! If you are thinking about buying this car, think again. Unless you are living in hot climate. We are extremely disappointed with this car. I wonder if anyone has this same problem.

They are great looking cars but they have problems. 1. The headlights and fog lights. There's no excuse for not having LED for both now. 2. On higher trim levels, you get and engine and transmission that has been plagued with problems. 3. Unless they have changed the suspension, it's also a bit of a rough ride. You will feel every crack on rough pavement. If Kia corrected those issues, they'd probably wipe out the competition.

My wife has the '21 Seltos EX. For the price we paid it has a ton of features and is a nice ride. It is a great car...the 2.0 ltr is OK...but I wish we would've sprung for the 1.6 Turbo. That Turbo model with the DCT blew by me one day from a stop light and I was quite surprised!!

we have a Cerato GT with same 1.6 turbo and 7 p dct - and ordered the new Seltos with the same engine as its a reliable, quick and reasonable frugal unit. it has been detuned from 205 to 175HP in the seltos though...but still enough - the 2ltr version we drove was a bit asthmatic, and I never buy a CVT transmisison...pity the 2tlr wasnt matched to the DCT. 2023 model is changing to 8 speed auto I read on Kia's website

Thanks for the review. I have had a 2021 since the end of Feb. 2020, and love it. Just had it to the dealership for the engine recall check, and was told all was fine. Apparently, they do some kind of test on the pistons to see if they are the ones that may fail. Time will tell, but for size and functionality, I find this to be the perfect car, and better than any in its class. Not sure why so many want keyless start and a panoramic sunroof. My wife has a suby with keyless start, and I find it a pain to keep track of who has the fob. And we had a car with a panoramic sunroof, but often found the light coming through so annoying that we just kept the cover on it shut the majority of time - plus, you lose headroom. To each his own, but if I was in the market for a small SUV, I think you'd be wise to look at the Seltos.

@@MichaelRoma91 The recall is on the 2021 2.0 engine. 2022 is not impacted, if that's what they are looking at. I had mine in for the recall service, and it was found to have no issue, so it's not going to impact every vehicle, and I've honestly not heard of any widespread problems with the vehicle. I would assume that any vehicle on a reputable car lot has already gone through any checks and modifications needed.

@@BMSLou 1 year and some months later I can say I still love it! I’m at 20,000 miles now, I drive a pretty decent amount. I’ve taken it on many road trips as well. The value is just incredible. The seats are comfy, the cabin is roomy, the adaptive cruise is great. Overall, I am very satisfied with the car. Engine is powerful for what it is - and after you get used to the DCT it’s nice. The exterior and interior are very high quality, I very much enjoy the sound system, everything is nice! Only gripes I really had are firstly, I had to install a new horn because At least on my specific 2021, the horn was so quiet and wimpy. Got that taken care of. The passenger seat is manual adjusting which isn’t really a big deal as usually it doesn’t ever get moved anyways- even by my passengers. The last odd gripe I had is that only the drivers window is one touch automatic. All of the windows are auto of course just not one touch. My previous car, a Ford Fusion, had all one touch.

hmmm, I just checked and didn't see it on the official website but its really helpful. my mom bought herself a brand new 2022 corolla equipped with tss 2.0 and it has adaptive cruise and you have no idea how helpful it is, especially in Los Angeles traffic. I think adaptive cruise is very helpful and for us was much of a deal breaker, I hope this helped.

Because they are smart.Top heavy, bad for rollovers ,they are subject to leaking and squeaking more often that a regular sunroof and they would drive the cost up too much for this type of SUV.

They are super hard to come by! I had to go into my local Kia dealer and order/reserve one, they didn’t have any on the lot. I waited about 3 weeks for delivery, just picked it up today! I’m in Ohio so it may be different for you but the dealership I used said they only get these in every few weeks and usually all of them are pre-ordered or reserved weeks before they even reach the dealership.

@@vicenzor3625 only the LX trim (base) has a FWD. All other trims have AWD standard according to the dealership and the KIA website. I live in Canada and the snow can be a bitch sometimes where I live. Also lot of hills. Almost got stuck a few times last year in my Forte. Also a Nine month old baby at home, so I want the added traction in the winter. Not for off road use. AWD really isn’t meant for off roading anyways…4x4 are better for that.

I've driven a few cars with ventilated seats and even living it Texas I almost never use it. If it's really hot and the car has been sitting in the sun I'll turn it on when I get in but I find it takes too long to cool off so by the time I notice it I would have already been cooled by the AC in a non ventilated seat. I get way more use out of heated seats in winter than I ever did out of these

I was seriously look at this vehicle last week. Went to 2 different Kia dealerships. One was with my hubby one was without. The lower quote was with my hubby. I went to the other dealership with the quotes in my pocket. Same make and model they wanted 33 dollars more bi-weekly. I was going to go back to the other dealership until I found out there was a recall on the engine. The way they are addressing it is to install a sensor to warn you when your engine might fail... ummmm no thanks I am out! To bad I really wanted this car.

Unfortunate about the price difference, but as far as the recall, I just had my 2021 checked, and it was fine. They do some kind of test on the pistons to determine if they are within variances. Regardless, the addition of the sensor warning is not the main fix. They will replace the engine if they determine the pistons are bad. I think the sensor warning is simply a fail-safe for future potential issues. Surprised you could even find any 2021s available though.

I love my 21 seltos and yeah they do a test to see if yours is effected or not. My dealership offers lifetime warranty that covers the engine and transmission costs no matter how many miles as long as I'm the only owner. Which is great! It definitely sold me.

I worry about Kia. I am on my second Optima SX turbo and will need to lease a new vehicle in 2022. Kia does not seem to be manufacturing the Stinger GT-line, the K5 GT, or a Seltos SX turbo with anything other than black seats. I was at my dealer a couple of weeks ago and they had one Sportage in the showroom and a lot of empty space. Things are not good. It is hard to make a living if you have no cars to sell. I live in Connecticut and what I was looking for was a yellow Seltos SX turbo with gray seats and in searching the inventory there were none, only. one yellow with black seats 68 miles away in New Jersey. I remain optimistic despite the data.

@@chocolatewheelchair I am 80 years old and am not ready to drive 500 miles to get my next Kia. That yellow Seltos is gone and there are no more. Kia decided to stop making them because they were selling too many. DUH!

I’m trying to find a FWD suv and no dealers in my area have them, only awd. These other dealers ship the paperwork to you overnight and then ship the car which you can track via a service
