Hi Jerms. That is a very good menu. Never thought about roasted lentils. Might be better than being boiled. Overall it's hard to beat a Latvian ration. Great review, bud!

Very cool Jerms. I have only lucked into 1 Latvian, and it was the old style. Your new style looks excellent. The new wooden spoons, make the meal taste like wood. I forgot which meal I got one with. I went back to my old favorite titanium spork, quickly, LOL. The dried lentils I tried once, and liked. All food looks excellent. I'm glad you enjoyed. Peace, John. Stay safe.

Latvian here, Everyone thinks that old Ration was significantly better, no soldier knows why they added lentils and why they took out the porridge and jams/honey for the bread that was nice with hot coffee. Lentils suck and no one likes them, its basically there to feed birds and ants in forest when you have nothing to do during downtimes of nothing to do. Also the lack of burnable heating element = no way to get hot water if you are stuck in forest.

Hell yeah! That's a great menu brother. I've got a review of the old school version of that in the can (Literally and figuratively) I'll be releasing soon. I've found the addition of some components rather random, like the soy sauce (Which I've never gotten though I have seen other reviews where it's present). Keep 'em coming man. 👍

Great review…. Yeah that bread did not look appetizing at all 😂 I have never heard of dry roasted lentils, I’ll have to try and find some. I would venture to say that the rations from other countries are better because they don’t have all the chemicals in their food like the US does. (Side note, I got the Vegamite in but haven’t tried it yet because I don’t know what to eat it with. We do keto so no bread etc….. LOL maybe on a pork rind or something 😂)
