Thanks so much for sharing this video. It sounds crazy but the struggle to get the plastic cover/console around the mirror is real! So kind of you to share as much info as you could and keeping the expectations to the point (it will be taking time !) Thanks for the information. I could NOT get that top piece off by myself!!!! I had a radio shop install a power inverter in my truck this last week, so i went back to them and the tech was kind enough to pop it off. It was not easy for him either. Then I came home and the rest of the installation was a breeze. Actually it took me longer to remove the old cable I had routed to it from the powerpoint, than it took to install the Dongar. Super happy clearing up that connection on the center console.

I just got the dongar and Garmin 57. I do wish the Garmin provided short cable ran upwards. It also looks like the long cable actually is the one that runs upwards like you mentioned.
