I own 2018 NX 300 fSport+ model. major diff I see is that 40 HP more and infotainment system, honestly it doesn't make diff for me. I prefer to drive sport+ which delivers more power instantenously than eco mode. I have been able to get 6.7l/100. feel premium and driving is very exciting. its Lexus which delivers luxury and reliability which nobody does. after 10 yes it still looks in great shape.

It’s not even on sale yet and it already got spanked by all the ev rivals like the ev6 Ioniq5 gv60. Again the rz isn’t out yet. We know because the RZ is fwd only 300hp and poor range and slow charging

For the first time in my life, I bought a car on impulse. This is probably the 15th car I have ever owned or leased. I have some significant buyer’s remorse. This car looks “sporty” but it really is not. The car is not at all quick off the line; 30 mph to 70 is fine. Punch the throttle and the engine is NOISY. The run flats add to road noise and overall the car is not all that quiet. The tech is good. I have had some issues crop in the first six weeks which have yet to get resolved (e.g. I have had to put the key fob up to the engine start button to crank her up about once every 5-10 times I start, which would usually be indicative of low battery. But the car is six weeks old and I just had the fob battery replaced!). Oh, he mentions the car can tow a trailer. Except there is NO tow hitch from Lexus or any third party you can get and this car has been out for a year! The F Sport is the only trim where there is no tow hitch available. To me, this is bait and switch. The Monroney sticker says it can tow 2,000 lbs. But I guess you have to attach a bungee cord somewhere and hope that works. I have - so far at least - gotten no where with Lexus on whether or not a tow hitch will show up. It is infuriating. The active suspension is pretty nice but my 2018 Audi Q5 was faster and very agile. I really do not like front wheel bias on the AWD. The steering is heavy, which is not always bad, but it is a reminder you are usually in fwd. My understanding is ‘18 Q was also front wheel biased but it was almost imperceptible. You have to program the system to get the electronic parking brake to come on automatically. I have also had some issues with the drivers seat memory. I do not have the upgrade sound system which is ok with me, nor did it come with the triple beam headlights/washers. No big deal. I have the quick heating system which does work pretty well as does the heated steering wheel. Obviously, I could go on and on…. I want to dump it but of course I would take a big hit. I probably would have gotten a GV 70 2.5 as I test drove it and it is much more fun to drive in my opinion. I am at a stage in life where I can blow money, so there is distinct possibility within the year I will wind up with another car. I am leaning toward a Macan T. I might go hunting sooner if I cannot get a hitch. I tow a light trailer with my BMW bike so as noted, I am going be really be p’od if I cannot get one. I am optimistic in that my trailer mechanic actually designs hitch’s for manufacturers and he is pretty optimistic. I am in Florida for two months, so that will have to wait. Although the kick plate to auto open the rear hatch will go away once I get a hitch, right now, I cannot get it to work. For those who have it or get it, there are some lengthy youtube videos on the car, which has helped me. Space is about 10-15% less than the Audi. I made it work for my trip however. With the torque number this car should be quicker. Kind of a lazy transmission and hesitation from the turbos.

I considered this, to the Genesis G70 when I was trying to decide which car to upgrade to. That NX is one handsome looking car, and wow is the interior cool. They fixed the infotainment system with this new update, and it really is a game changer for Lexus/Toyota. That being said, I would have hoped for rear heated seats which it does not have… but it makes up for it with the cool electric door handle/buttons. I ultimately went for the G70 just because it is just a far better car to drive and the interior is very nice as well. But personally, I think that NX has the more aggressive, cooler design.

I don’t entirely agree with how Japanese quality is better than Korean quality, but if we’re just comparing Lexus to Genesis, I’d fully agree. Lexus has some of the best build quality in the car industry.

Toyota used to make the world's most smooth 4cyl engines. This sounds akin to an old GM Quad 4(a little harsh, I know). Not sure why Toyota can't get it right with turbo 4s. Their previous-current 2.0T was/is laughably behind the competition in smoothness, performance, and efficiency. It seems like Lexus may be forcing buyers to consider the 450 for max performance and efficiency. Other than that, I LOVE the exterior design. Such a bold departure from the bulbous previous gen. But the interior looks more RAV4 Platinum than Lexus premium.

Made me cringe when he started it. A 1989 Honda sounds better. I don’t know why they can’t fix their 4 cylinders which are also very loud even under regular use. BMW doesn’t have this problem.

The front portion of the roof is black, you could easily get the rear portion wrapped with a gloss black for $100-150. As for the F-sport wheels, yeah theyre pretty basic but honestly why keep the stock wheels for any vehicle, real aftermarket / custom wheels are the way to go imo.

This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...simply said: see euro cars shop time & inevitable “ Check Engine Light CONTINUALLY!!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve *89 miles per Gallon ( Uses 87% octane / Regular gas according to user manual) in Hybred mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole...Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy a V* will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness) ......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! Lexus is way more expensive than the Toyota RAW 4 and frankly I do not find any features which make the Lexus a luxury car. It looks differently, to done us better looking than Toyota but not for everyone. A big screen first bit make a car a better car (future trend will be just opposite as already annnoced by Volvo and BMW). So help me finding what makes this car a luxury car. Reader seats are not even heated with standard package, no separate climate controls for rear seats, no sun shades. Small door pockets. Casual cupholders. So basically equal to the Toyota.

Styling wise, Lexus needs to come up with a different look. The proportions are off and seems disjointed. Reminds me of a current generation Kia Sportage. Also the interior looks cheap and Lexus should've kept the L symbol on the back rather than copying everyone else with the Lexus name spelled out. I'd much rather go with the revised Acura RDX

How do you think the engine smoothness compares to the 3.5L v6 in the Camry or ES350? I know this isn’t really a competitor (even though they are closely related to each other), do you think car confections that a Camry XSE v6 or XLE v6 could be a competitor (not direct mind you) to the Lexus nx350 or nx450h? Overall as I predicted, the nx disappoints all around considering rivals like the gv70 or Rdx or cx5 all exist. Even the venza puts the nx to shame and even the ES350 or Camry XSE / XLE. That said I do like the new startup chime though

That’s because they ARE the same engines as the rav4 sans the turbo What the nx350 really needs is the 3.5L v6 from the Camry and the Highlanders dynamic torque vectoring AWD

@@naveenthemachine I own the 450h+ f Sport........engine is far quieter than rav4 because Lexus has huge amounts of sound dampening insulation.....Additionally ..engine sound is NONE as I only use electric plug in to 87 miles er hour for almost 40 miles and then come home from my 15 mile each way commute plug in to 120V for the next drive No Engine VERY smooth and no GAS!

​@@naveenthemachineIt doesn't need a v6. It's trying to be a modern vehicle, it doesn't need a 18 year old engine under the hood. And a turbo 4 has better performance with better mpg numbers.
