I am so glad you pointed out the real-world issues associated with the lowering springs. Yeah it looks hot as hell, but for commuting (or if it's you're only car), it could be a bit much. When I see dudes 'bobbleheading' their way down the road, I wince every time. 😀 Great video, thanks for posting!

Ended up with the IS500. I'm noticing a verrry similar interior! Anyway, the RC is a beautifully shaped car and that V6 isn't something to scoff at!

i have a 15 rc350 f sport awd. LOVE your spec! Absolutely gorgeous color combination. I too have the red interior and it's what sold me on the car over another option I looked at.

In the old days whenever I modified something on my 70 Camaro SS I was often disappointed. Most of the time I wish I should have left it all stock. Some mods worked out for me but more thought should have gone into other mods. Now I have a Lexus RC 350 F sport AWD and I won't change a thing because of the lessons I've learned. It's usually better for resale anyway.

That makes sense. I don’t anticipate this cars resale value to take any hit really, since all that’s been installed are Lexus accessories, by Lexus dealers. But who knows, the used car market has been weird ever since Covid.

Thanks for the review! I've considered springs on my car('19 RC350 base AWD), though I might give them a pass due to the fact this is my daily and I have to contend with a steep alley. However I might be interested in those door stabilizers, even for just the look. That said, regarding the tech bros, I gotta say the RC350 is a much more interesting car than a Model 3. :D

Ya the door stabilizers are a quirky little addition even though they don’t really have a substantial impact on the car. I like how they also say TRD on it, so that adds a few horsepower haha It definitely is, but most people don’t appreciate quality traditional cars anymore and they would rather have a giant screen 😭

Love the painted calipers, where did you get them done? Do you know if they make the door stabilizers for the IS350 as well?
@bayareadrives6 ай бұрын
I did not get the calipers painted, these are an OEM accessory that Lexus sells for the GS, RC, and IS. I bought them from a dealership in SoCal and had them installed by my local dealer. They have the door stabilizers for the IS as well. You can get them from Lexus Boutique, which is a JDM parts reseller.

@@bayareadrives oh are these the orange calipers? Somehow I thought these were red. Or if they are red do you remember the part number?
@bayareadrives6 ай бұрын
I have the RC part numbers, but not for the IS. I just went to the official Lexus parts website and put in my cars vin number. I then searched up brakes, and I looked for the brakes which said “orange painted” in the description. But ya these brakes are orange, Lexus only sells orange calipers as an option, or the flat black calipers which come stock on the FSports. Once you get the part numbers, paste the part number on Google. I found that a lot of east coast and SoCal dealers, sell Lexus parts for a lot cheaper than Bay Area dealers for some reason.

Can you start the intro outside and show the car exterior more for every video moving forward?

I have the RS-R Down-Lowering Springs on 20 inch wheels... and love it!!! The original springs were too soft and the car had too much lean for me.
@bayareadrives5 ай бұрын
That was my thought too with the original springs. These F Sport springs really tightened up the suspension, and now the car handles a lot better. I have more confidence in corners now.

Do you find the power to be adequate?
@bayareadrives4 ай бұрын
I think so. 311 hp is a healthy amount of power, even though the car is heavy. This isn’t a drag race car or even a dedicated a sports car, so you have to keep your expectations in check that this is a grand touring car. But at the end of the day you will be faster than most regular traffic you see on the road.

just installed the f sport lowering springs on my ‘23 RC, does it affect the AVS when you put it on sport+ mode? i’ve only driven it on normal so don’t really know if there’s a difference.
@bayareadrives9 ай бұрын
AVS still works with the FSPORT springs, so steering and dampers will get stiffer in sport +.

Where did you get the door stabilizer?
@bayareadrives7 ай бұрын
I got them from Lexus Boutique, it’s a Japanese company/reseller for JDM parts. Here’s the link: lexusboutique.net/collections/rc/products/trd-japan-2015-2017-rc-rc-f-door-stabilizer-kit
