After taking delivery of my first Tesla just some 12 days ago I can agree Tesla knocked it out of the park. Not just on the infotainment system, but the whole package…the car is Amazing.

I also am on my 2nd Tesla! I reserved the original 2018 Model Y the day it was announced and waited 2 years . My son now has that car and traded up to it from a BMW. Now, I have the 2020 Model Y which is better suited for me as I like that it sits higher, has more usable storage space, AWD, etc. Last time I bought gas was for my 2013 Ford CMAX Energi in May 2018! That Ford CMAX was a plug-in hybrid that was largely disappointing.

Yeah the Test Drive Effect has me holding off on doing a test drive. I already know i want one, but if i actually get in one and drive it i know i'm going to be like "Ok i need this now. If i eat nothing but Ramen for X years, i can make it work" lol

@@xUnic31x my wife used to steal mine when I don't work. And leave me with the gas guzzling odyssey van. Later that year I traded the van in for the sr+. Gas savings pays for the Tesla. Downfall is that we have bills.... But it's really no different than gas

Sold my M3 SR+ for a M3LR in May. Just sold the M3LR today and taking delivery on a gigatexas MYLR on Friday. Zero out of pocket costs as i was trading up each time. Crazy times we are living in. 👍😄

We have the exact same Tesla! 2022 black on black, and long range 👌. Best car that I've ever own. Was totally worth the trade from our Audi A4. We don't care so much about the green part but the tech and performance is something that no other automakers can compare. Keep us posted when yours is in!

You are going to love it man, I’m telling you. I have historically hated the topic of cars, but once I got in one and now own a tesla it is like a huge topic in my day-to-day. I am hopeful that the Teslas drop down in cost once they can keep up with demand so that more people have an opportunity to get one. My favorite thing that I have and I believe that tesla is charging record costs so they can finish all their infrastructure costs of building factories, and nail a reasonably priced vehicle everyone can enjoy. If they could get it down to 30k on a 2dr model 3, so that more people could escape the gas monster, they will eliminate ICE vehicles completely. Hoping he’s not just being greedy.

Actually lowering the cost to 30K wouldn’t benefit them, they already have more demand than they could hope to meet. If they was to actually lower to 30K like you suggested the wait time would be over 2 years in just a matter of minutes. Look at the Ford Lightning it sold out 22 and 23 year models and had to stop orders and that had starting price of 40k

Waiting on my RWD M3 but after testing driving the MY, I’m so tempted to order it instead. If it was $10k cheaper, I would but 20 is way out of my budget. Ordered on 5/29 MSM with white interior and 18in wheels. EDD is Oct 9-Nov 20

How is it ridiculous to complain about build quality when you're paying at a minimum over 50k for a car? In that circumstance, the build quality should be perfect.

@@TailosiveEV I did let you finish your though and listened to it a few times to make sure I heard your correctly. I'd say it's rare for luxury brands to have poor QC. I'd also say it's rare for a Tesla to come out of QC and not have problems. The fact is close to 100 percent of Tesla's come off the line and get delivered to customers with issues Tesla should have fixed years ago. Software and driving experience cannot make up for poor build quality that is completely preventable.

@@robertscott2269 3 people in my family have a tesla and many friends. All of them have been perfect. Of course there are some issues here and there, and those are the ones which people go online and rant about. The small percentage of cars with issues totally overwhelm the happy owners. And If there are any issues, they’ll fix them for free so i don’t see the issue.

I put two 58-in TVs in their original box in the back end of a model 3 and transported it that way with no hangovers or anything else if it's just fine if you're just perfect with the seats folded down

Got my 2022 LR in May …ordered back in Sept ‘21 when they started at $49,990. The difference in build quality and fit on finish is noticeable compared to my 2019 LR which was good, but my 2022 is absolutely perfect. I I’m loving all the upgrades that were made since my 2019. Nothing drives like a Tesla. Theyre just so smooth and make driving an enjoyable experience again. The power and handling is incredible for when you want to have fun or need to blow by someone. Best car you can get today period.

I will say that I have been told the backseats in the 3 are very uncomfortable for anyone over 5' 5" for any relatively long period of time. I had loaner M3's while my MY was in service and my main takeaways were: Handling and acceleration/stopping are better in the M3- "Suspension" and comfort for all passengers are "better" with the MY.

So sorry to hear that you're not getting you car today. But, nice to see that Tesla let you have an overnight test drive. It was so nice to see the excitement in you with the car. I build cars for a living (QC Dept.) and eventhough I see hundreds of car ever single day for the last 21 years I've never been this excited for my M3LR. Too bad you can’t take delivery of the model your testing. Might be a bit more costly than your Single Motor, it would be faster delivery. That could lead to gas and maintenance savings for you to help offset its costs.

I'm a recent first time Model 3 driver (3 months in) and I can absolutely attest to the butts in seats comment - everyone notices something differnt that they like about the car whether it's the seats, infotainment, glass roof, sound system, quietness, etc.
