I gotta hand it to ya. Not too many people are willing to admit that the new Mach isn't what people thought it was gunna be. Don't know where the rumor started, but seems like it was intended to be something to destroy the ThunderCat, didn't happen. Props to you sir for keeping it real!!!

I just picked up my mach Z 3 weeks ago, I love the sled,comfortable, smartshox provide a great ride, engine is powerful, I'm a little disappointed like you said it's not the king of the hill, I was hoping for the lake racer, not the fast corner carver,high mileage touring sled... it did start coming around after 400 miles, I also believe it's still lazy in the throttle compared to my mxz 850, so far my '19 mxz 850 has been to 114 (still in break in) and my mach Z has been to 108, (also still in break in) both speedo readings, and not same conditions...

Two completely different sleds 🛷 i rode both 2 days ago for 5h and the Z is very balanced in terms power, handling and ride quality. For trail riding it is a great ride. The Lynx is a completely different ride. It wheelies at every acceleration, it transfers power and weight like nothing else but it is still easy to ride if you are experienced. It is a hooligan sled, if you want the ride something different that will make the ride interesting especially in bumps this is your sled. My only concern is: will that ride gets old after a while. For long ride the Z to have fun on shorter ride the Lynx.

I feel the same way with Maytrx vs Axys, Maytrx was a fail, the shocks are complete garbage compared to XRS Or the Lynx. Id buy a Lynx if they put a XRS style seat on it that went up to the tank for fast corner to corner riding and chopped off those sharp edges on the top of the side panels. The Lynx has the Best Stock outa the box shocks, that sled is far from stiff if its set up properly. Thats a nice sled, I hope they atleast put a better seat on it next yr

Much faster after break in I am sure. Just don't thing the mach is going to compete with a sidewinder. I can tell you this much though it was one of the best riding sleds I have been on just a shame it won't be king. I could be wrong but mod for mod the sidewinder will just make more horsepower

You no like the new Mach Z. When I seen this video I thought WHY would you buy a Mach Z. That sled back in the Day was the Boss. Today’s Mach Z is for the high mileage rider that’s going to rip it across a lake now and again and as far as all the extras how often are ya going to use it. The Lynx is a way more suitable for your riding style it’s lighter, Narrower through the tunnel and it’s a 2 STROKE YEAH BABY. 🤙🤙🤙🤙

I respect your review and video. But you didn’t put many miles on. I didn’t like my new mach at first. You forget that it needs two full tanks of gas to go through for the break in perf degradation to be removed by ecu. Unless did that, al you felt was a tuned down mach z. It has equal horsepower when dynod to the thundercat and weighs less. 2 ply also has 1.25” lug vs ice ripper 1”. Once miles were on I pulled skis off on flat ground while going 35 and punching it. My weight forward. Not trying to wheelie.

In the video as well as in the comments you state that any 4 stroke without a tune is a turd/slow. The Old Forge shootout, both this year and last as well as many easy to find videos show just the opposite. The newest turbo 4 strokes ( Sidewinder, Thundercat , Mach-Z/Renegade) consistently and fairly easily beat the 850 2 strokes in drag races. You may be used to driving a tuned sidewinder and that's why you're disappointed. The Mach-Z that you traded would surely beat the Lynx, as well as pretty much all other stock sleds in a drag race so how is it a turd/slow?

@@jigglefootracing3398 so you just stated the obvious 🤣 no stock sled is going to compete with a tuned sled, specially one that is 100cc bigger! Riding a wheelie everytime i hit the throttle would get old real quick. I have the Mach Z and power is not the issue, it is in the clutching. It gets so much power to the track, it just spins too hard. A little testing and messing with the clutch, and i believe it will run any 998 1100 down.

And the Yamaha’s are turds too. 1,000cc and turbocharged just to make enough power to get out of its own way and all this for 100+ pounds more weight. Sure, if all you do is go in a straight line on a lake. But to each their own, right! 👍😀
@shperax2 жыл бұрын
@@SPCRacing1 it's a pretty huge misconception that 4 stroke are still heavy with today's 4 stroke technology. Your looking at 30lb-50lb max difference these days vs the closest power 2 stroke. That's with the added turbo. If your primarily a trail rider the weight is also an advantage as you will get less ski lift powering out of corners. For a mountain sled I would still get a 2 stroke because 5 lb makes a difference in how fast you tip the sled from side to side. The crazy thing you see a lot of today is young guys buying mountain sleds and trail riding them. Just because they see cool videos of mountain sleds they think they need one of those. Then your parked on the side of the trail waiting for your mountain sled buddies to catch up.
