The new outlander gives me a glimmer of hope for Mitsubishi. I love the design of this car both inside and out. The alliance with Nissan is just what Mitsubishi needs.

I test drove an SEL two months ago, loved it and bought it. Beautiful inside and out great design. Lots of xtras come standard. Lack of power hasnt been an issue yet, and best warranty of any car maker. Still loving it!

Just a hunch, but I bet you're not supposed to fold the 2nd row flat in order to get in the 3rd row. I bet there is a tilt and slide mechanism. Most 3rd rows in SUVs are intended for children only. I don't know why people expect full-grown adults to fit back there. It's like the jump seat in the cargo area of station wagons back in the day. They were mainly intended for kids. People crap on Mitsubishis because they're old designs, but the reliability track record is actually pretty good. Better than Nissan. The JATCO CVTs in Mitsubishis have a much better track record than in Nissans, so it should be interesting to see how long-term reliability pans out for Mitsubishi with this rebadged Nissan. Mitsubishi did a great overall job with the styling. Better than the Nissan version, IMO.

Atrocious exterior design, piss-poor third-row space, and Nissan powerplant w/CVT. Aside from the 10-year powertrain warranty, this car has nothing going for it. Why on Earth would anyone buy this over literally anything else on the market (something sans CVT preferably)?

Probably for the fuel economy. The Outlander has one of the best, if not the best fuel economy in the class at 30 mpg among 3 row non-Hybrid crossovers.
@DizzyMan24
@DizzyMan24 2 жыл бұрын
Exterior design is your opinion, I think it looks good. Third row is for small children, not adults and I'll bet %99 of people will never use it. The Nissan engine/transmission is a reliable combo, whether you believe it or not (everyone hates on it while having zero proof to back it up). Interior is really nice, sound system is amazing. Both the Rogue and the Outlander is better than stuff like the Rav4 and Escape, easily.

Love the new design. Looks are subjective. Glad to see a car maker have the balls to make something different. One of the only makers to make a 3rd row for a small compact SUV. It comes in hand if you have kids.
