@@jackmanley1473 was a canes fan (hate that they signed a human being like DeAngelo, and refuse to support a team who will pay a bigot), and I loved watching that kid play. He’s so good, and he does literally everything. He’s covered like he’s just an offensive, skill guy, but he hounds the puck, he’s strong on the boards, and he’s got elite skill defensively with his stick too. He’s like a littler Patel Datsyuk/Henrik Zetterberg with higher offensive upside.

@@jpsmoviereviews4005 why should he have to lift a cup to get more respect? McDavid and McKinnon haven’t done anything , and he’s a better all-around player than both. Barkov is the same way. Brind’Amour has a cup and he’s not even in the hall of fame, even though he absolutely should be. People just focus in on certain players that are so flashy that they think less of the ones who do literally everything at an elite level.

Go watch the replay and you can clearly see a small piece on the bottom corner get sheared off as the puck goes by. Following the NHL's own rules. That's a hit target. If you think it clearly missed, maybe it's just time for an eye exam... maybe a new prescription for your glasses.

Very misinformed comment. Canes can't afford to many contracts based on large signing bonuses. Go to cap friendly and check out the structure of Ahos contract. It was actually a pretty good effort by the Habs to force them to pay so much money at once every season. The first year was almost 12 mil upfront !
