They already are a company called crosscart usa bought the Spanish Xtream carts and made them bigger ther far more attractive looking than these ugly things . They call themselves Sierra carts now .

@@PaceWorks yeah and the sierracars cost minimun 60K ., in spain you have brands like, Yacar, speedcar, demoncar,labase, etc,, with 600cc or 750cc engines for 20k.

Plans for them all over. Getting the spec correct for a specific series is the key though. For fun you can build them all kinds of ways.

There has been DIY kits for buggies for decades, even just sets of plans. The question must be asked though, how are your fabrication skills? If they were worth a pinch of shit I would suggest you wouldn’t be asking such a question in the first instance.

These cars all (except one) have suzuki 750 gxr motors. All in they are around 30-40k. They are kit cars and modular

It depends on the class and they are tube frame with fiberglass or carbon bodies. Plans can be purchased for them or can be purchased in kit form.

Rallycross looks so much fun, especially in one of these little pocket rockets! 🔥 Hayden Paddon introduced Crosscars to New Zealand and it's really starting to grow as a rally class - hopefully, it takes off around the globe. I'm sure I can't be the only one that thinks the body shape looks a little underwhelming (like the Tamiya buggy's we had as kids), given how impressive they perform against World Class rally cars.

generally speaking when it comes to racing the smaller the vehicle the more insane you have to be to get into it, the crazier the other people in the race are going to be, and the less budget is going to be a barrier to entry to keep things all within a closed profession. sidecar motorcycle racing is absolutely _insane_ doubly so since driving one of those is a two man effort. about the only other thing that hits that level of...how to say it..."immediacy of risk" is luge racing and that actually _was_ made by a bunch of young teens.

They are, my brother used to have one. I just drove it on a field but it was incredibly fun and so easy to drift around at pretty high speeds. I'm looking to buy a cheap one to just play around with.

Aloha from Hawaii I just came across this really enjoyed it. We have ample room ideal conditions but no product availability. What a blast. It would be to have a 50 acre track here in Hawaii. I bet you half of the Island would be here and possibly 15 20,000 tourist as well. Personally, I have division here could find the land just need sponsor support and a little mainstream guidance. I want a car company to make a street legal version of this. Use way less gas, go way faster than a normal car, still have the stability of a 4 wheeled vehicle while having the near efficiency of a motorcycle. Only bad thing is that they kick so much dust and dirt onto the windshield.
