They really did choose chaos 😅 I can't really understand what happened with Villeneuve missing director, honestly it doesn't make much sense... How can they nominate Dune for basically every technical award possible + best picture and adapted screenplay, but then just ignore the work of the director who made it all happen? It sounds completely absurd to me. Also very surprised that the French Dispatch got nothing: I think it deserved production design at the very least. That being said I'm still overall pleased with most of these, specifically very happy that Andrew Garfield is in the running for Best Actor (not that big of a surprise but I was still scared!)

@@megamikethemovieman Yes! I thought Spielberg did an amazing job. Visually really interesting! The editing during the 'Tomorrow Quintet' was stellar. Screenplay was also really well embellished - the Spanish added a lot of nice authenticity to the movie!

A lot of people were counting it out but WSS did well - They got Best film, director, supporting actress, production design, cinematography, sound & costumes - pretty much everything they were considered for except adapted screenplay (which isn't shocking as it's a musical) and editing (which was stupid it missed there, but at least Tick Tick got some love). I never care much about Best Song, but I do wish Don't Look Up was in because it was the only one actually IN the movie and was even a part of the plot.
