Ive driven both polestar 2 and the model 3, p2 imo is a better looking car, however being fwd was a bit of a letdown compared to the model 3. the interior in the p2 is where the car shines well built premium quality and the matrix headlights at night were incredible.

Wait till you sit in the back. It has a MASSIVE drive train running up the middle making it , at most, a 4 seater (Even thought they have the middle seatbelt). strange decision by Polestar.

We have a PS2 SMSR due for delivery here in NZ in two weeks. It will replace our 2002 Commodore SW as an intercity and towing vehicle. The bonus for us is that the PS2 will share its PV supplied charge point with our Leaf so hopefully the national grid will see an absolute minimum of our generation as a result. The test drive back at Easter impressed the hell out of us and we're very much looking forward to our new addition and the upskilling it will require from us. One point about the video is apart from the piano black interior details it was disappointing to see the 'orange peel' paint finish in the charging port shots. An issue that I've heard is all too common on the black versions but our Magnesium one will have a close inspection on pick-up none the less. In regard to battery range and the effect towing has on it it is worth checking out a reviewer here in NZ that took a caravan for a jaunt to test the point. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHvXk4GOlMp_n9k I do however wonder if backing the braking severity of the towed item off a bit (within safe parameters) in order to better capitalise on the extra inertia for regenerative braking of the car might be advisable.

That Nappa leather seat option is a ridiculous $12k because you "have" to buy the $6k Plus pack to be able to buy the $6k Nappa leather option. And in the Plus pack you "have" to get the panoramic roof, which many in a hot country don't want. So frustrating. The packaging is the biggest negative in this otherwise great car.

Agree about glass roof and gloss black. Roof needs to be optional and gloss black need to be stopped by all car manufacturers. Don't like the speakers cover. Generally a nice evehicle

Interiour look great at first sight but after sitting there for a while you will notice a surprisingly large amount of hard plastic . They trick the eye by having a texture that looks soft. Side of the center console is a good example, look soft but is noisy scratchy hardplastic. Everything with that color is the same type of plastic. Interiour is a mix of premium and cheap pieces. And it's not that quiet on the highway at all. So not that premium compared to premium brands. But it's great to drive and no squeaking sounds. It feels very solid build

Took the test drive of polestar2 and ev6 went for ev6 much more spacious. Polestar 2 is just little to cramped up inside specially the rear. Also the second cup holder is under the armrest which is not very ideal tbh.

Having test driven this car just yesterday its a bit disappointing to see this review as i would say this is more a promo than a review. Before anyone jumps on let me say why; Range - its a known case that volvo and polestar uses a diff rating so the real world range is much less than the 500 or so. It averages around 23 to 25 KWH per hundred ks so use the math and check what you may get Price - The base doesnt come with anything closer to what the car is being shown with. A tiny hatch back now comes with adaptive cruise for under 20k but you need to pay around 5k for pilot pack which adds blind spot cruise and 360 camera. At that price range, its just not justified. The leather seats, yes they look good but check how much more you need to pay for that thing. use a configurator and for that car shown drive away in qld is 87k Space - all praise for the implementation and all but lack of space in drivers seat(feels too cocooned and cramped so if you are into it all good), back seat is more of a 2 people mainly if you can fit 2 small people. huge transmission tunnel since its based on the ice xc40 platform means unless you are 10 inches wide with no legs you wont fit. If you are above 6ft, your head will scrape against the roof as mine did in the back Drive - yes, you need to give it to them as that is a really good strong point, one pedal works absolutely great Would love to see motoring journalists who speak the truth and say things as it is than be promo mouth pieces like this fearing if they speak out the company loses on ad revenue. In a commercialized world, dont know what else we can expect but this sort of so called motoring journalism and attitudes along with lack of a strong govt policy is why the rest of the world has gone leaps and bounds ahead in terms of cars and offerings and we are stuck with 3rd grade stuff from most manufacturers (just look at how many manufacturers are dumping older engines and tech to cars we get here, nissan patrol interior, vw engines just to name a few).

Curious where did you get this 23-25 kwh/100km consumption data? at what temperature? average speed? That's way higher than what I read from other owners/ reviewers' test. What they found are more around 19-23 kWh/100km mixed city/freeway consumption for dual motor, and 18-22 kWh/100km for single motor version. Real world range about 400-480 km for single motor.
@mohzinjaffer67342 жыл бұрын
@@carlxlinify was here in brisbane at the test event around 18 to 20 degrees here. At 70 percent charge it was saying 280ks left. The test was mostly inner city 1 pedal drive with bit of 80 k zone.

I drove this, I quite liked it, definately feels like a premium product. I have three dis likes that would stop me buying it. The front interior space is seriously cramped by that huge centre console, the back seat is a sick joke, even the door appature is tiny, and FWD on a premium EV is unacceptable. It just hasn't taken the EV platform to the "EV" level like a Tesla, even if this feels like a much more expensive product.
