I got the Pink Flamingo party set today to be a friend of the Llama. I opened her up, and the confetti came out. Along with the bagged accessories. This is it for now, because these compacts are expensive, and the Llama needed a friend. The accessories are adorable, and both the Llama and Flamingo compact accessories can be used interchangeably with both sets. Fuuuuuuuuuuun.

Aww, I think you made the right call..the llama had to have a buddy! You know, I still don’t have the flamingo set, but I consider it every time I see it on sale. 😂💗

Hey, thanks for the video! I grew up with Polly pocket in the early 90's. I was excited when I saw this at the store and grabbed it. I also got a vintage shimmering mermaid book for my kid but it didn't come with the dolls. The dolls in the new mermaid compact do not fit in the slots of the old compacts so I think Mattel is pulling one over us say this was from the vault. It's very similar but the molds are obviously different. A bit sad about it. Hopefully the re release the old mermaid one.

It’s a bit frustrating that the new vintage style doll base is just sliiightly larger than the old dolls. It would have been nice to be able to use the new dolls in old sets. At least the set is still gorgeous! 😍 Do I believe it’s actually from the fault… I have my doubts haha. It definitely seems in line with what Bluebird would have put out back then, but who knows? I’m really excited for the next Keepsake set…Starbright Dinner Party! I have two of the vintage ones, both pretty damaged, so I’ll be happy to have a new remake of one! 😊💗

I’m glad they fixed the skin color issue they had in the starlight castle keepsake set. Polly’s skin seemed painted on a darker plastic and it looked greenish and awful.

Thank you so much for mentioning that. I can’t believe I didn’t even notice that they fixed that! 😮 I guess because it looked so good, I didn’t think about it. Had it looked awful, I definitely would have noticed, haha. 😂 Yes! The Starlight Castle Polly was not good. I think they did the dolls the same way in the Royal Ball set. The dolls were made with the color of their clothes, not their skin. And yes, you’re right that Polly ended up looking very green and weird. Such an odd way to go about it. I have to assume it was because it somehow takes less time/money that way. But I guess since they only had the shell tops to paint on these dolls, they went with skin-colored plastic. I really hope they’ll keep it up for future sets. 🤞🏻💕

Yes! 😍 It’s so nice to see brand new sets in the style that they were when we were kids. 🥰 I don’t think they have these sets actually in store where I live, but it would be so fun to see it on the shelves. 💗 Buying in store would definitely add to the nostalgia. 💕

Why is this version and other with the mermaids tail in purple?

Some sets were released with purple tails, mainly in Australia I believe. 💕
