The ultra merino 145 zip-T. Highly recommend it. The trailer Is built pretty simple. Ordered the window off Amazon, spray foam kit from menards, wired a few outlets and lights that run to a 2000w inverter hooked up to a good marine batt with an on board charger. Slapped some vinyl floor down, pine boards on the walls, and old barn steel on the ceiling. 🤘

Searched on an off for a total of 30 houra on a buck I shot that did the double leg kick with a bright red blood trail for 100 yards. Never found him, but my dad killed a similar looking buck with a chunk missing from the front knee almost a week later. Thought I had a good shot but I'm guessing he killed the same buck i shot at or not. Its super great that his buck was down though!

What a great video. It pays to look for those coyotes, crows, hawks, etc., that might be after an easy meal. You definitely bumped him off your deer. They are bad everywhere, and many people including myself have lost deer to them. Well edited and documented. Thoroughly enjoyed your hunt.

What happened to the hind quarters that you say you're losing them? Did the coyote get to it?

So the only meat unsalvaged was the rump roasts from both hind quarters, but the majority of the hinds came home and made it to the freezer. The coyote got away with maybe 5lbs of meat.

Sucks the coyotes got to it! Meat is gone! Why didn't you track after shooting the buck?

So Brad recovered the buck the very next morning and recovered all of the meat except for the rump roast that were eaten by the coyote. The hit was questionable, appeared slightly far back. To avoid the risk of bumping a wounded deer Brad gave it time to lay down and expire to improve the odds of recovering the animal. No meat was left behind, he packed it all in to game bags and packed it out. That is why his backpack was so heavy. We would never waste an animal.

I was wondering also how much the coyote got, we can barely see a chunk of meet when he approched the deer. The deer did not seem rigid, personnally I don’t think he had been dead that long, so the call to give it time was probably a good call. It looked like a gut shot to me, can you confirm? Good call to shoot even if the sun was shinning, excellent video. I will subscribe!

So you only took his back straps and the cape?

Absolutely not. Everything went, including front and rear quarters minus the rump roasts due to them already being eaten by coyotes. It becomes hard to show everything in a video without it being too much of a single scene.

I was able to take everything except the hind quarter eaten. Def sucks but still thankful it wasn’t a complete waste.

I just watched your muzzle loader hunt in nebraska. I was surprized there was no mention of the wounded doe. I went to comments thinking maybe some info. Surprize, comments turned off. Guess you were getting your ass chewed and didn't want to take the heat. I won't pile on because there was no info about the recovery effort, whether it was half-hearted or you guys put genuine effort in. I ask this. Was the effort the same as if it was 160 inch buck?

Interestingly we thought we put plenty of material and discussion surrounding that doe in the video. What’s odd is that you thought Brad was the one in the Nebraska video - he was not. We have never, nor will we ever, hide the bitter truth to the reality of what goes on out there. That doe was tracked for over a mile. How many minutes do you suppose we should have dedicated to the tracking? Maybe a different video? “Watch this incredibly long track job of a wounded animal that was never recovered because it lived.” It just doesn’t make sense… but to answer your question, yes - we treat every animal the same. That is an awful accusation and assumption to think we, or any hunter, wouldn’t put the same effort in to recovering a doe as the would a 160-inch buck. Who even thinks like that? So I would ask you a question, also - have you ever wounded an animal while hunting? Because we have, but we’re also honest.
