It's like Rolex made a motorcycle. Absolutely beautiful & high quality. But for a great price. I like the undersquare engine. Long stroke, small bore. Lots of low-end torque for a 350.

I just had speedo broken after 60 miles. Just tried to fill second tank and it was plugged by evap system. Rode back home on fumes.

Royal enfield just keeps hitting home runs, and doing it better with each new model. One thing i like is that their models are all gorgeous! Aslo, the RE engines never sound busy. The Honda CRF300l is arguably a better bike, but it is not pretty, and at certain RPMs it sounds like the piston is hitting the cylinder head. I think I would go for the Classic 300 over the CRF any day. Very informative review.

You are correct. One of the reasons I bought a RE Himalayan was the low revving engine with all its low end torque. These new Classic models have an even smoother, friendlier engine. Very well done, RE!

Hey there!… Just found your KZbin channel this morning… And wanted to say really nice job. I Purchased a classic 350 about a year ago when they first started showing up in US. My first getting back into it bike at age 62. Out of it for about 10 years or so. your review is spot on… Love the bike even more as run in continues…About 1600 miles right now… Sidelined for a few months with some shoulder surgery. These modern machines have a lot going for them. Certainly in Europe where speed limits are coming down and fuel prices are going up at the same rate. You get all the advantages of a modern motorcycle and the experience of riding a 1950s machine.

I would have to say, that it's not designed for those long straight roads you've got there. This comes into it's own on the narrow, twisty lanes of the UK, which make them a joy to ride.

That was really great review! I do have a problem with taking a brand-new bike out, totally against the recommendation of Royal Enfield by running it down the highway of 65 miles an hour. I really think those kinds of speed should be kept down until you get a used bike. Respect the running in guidelines. Other than that ya did a good job.

Nice! Have have been there too. But for me the Meteor feels like its trying to look like a harley-like cruiser. The Classis is just what it is, no pretentions. So my choice is the Classic. Good luck and remember: Rubber side down!

Yamaha makes wonderful motorcycles, I've owned many. My current Royal Enfield Himalayan has over 12,000 miles on her. Not as perfect as a Yamaha but I'm definitely the funnest motorcycle I've ever owned. Wahoo!

why are people always talking about " beautifull second bike" What is wrong with people. This is a beautifull bike. I am gonna change my 20 year old Harley Sportster XL1200c for this RE enfield Halycon Green Classic, the very one you are showing. The plate is indeed for the nav but because of the chips shortage they can't deliver them now. But there is a treath inside the headlamp for the tripper nav. On this bike you will ride 38 km with 1l petrol. ( would be about 24 miles on 1l...)

I like both of these bikes. The classic has metal fenders and a lot more attention to detail than the meteor. Meteor has a more modern styling, especially the supernova and blue. Today I'm leaning towards classic but would be just as happy with the blue supernova.

I'm considering purchasing a Royal Enfield Classic 350 to ride around 40 miles one way to work and was wondering if you think the bike would hold up to 80 miles a day for a while? Thanks 👍

If your ride was 60mph or less I think this bike would do well. You'd put about 20,000 miles on in a year. So, Two chains, 3.5 oil changes & valve adjustments, 4 to 6 air filters, and at least one tire change per year. I'm hoping to get 50,000 miles on my RE Himalayan before having to do any major work to her. But 70% or more of my miles are on gravel and dirt. Please let me know how it goes and good luck. Two very different motorcycles. The 535 is very sporty much more aggressive riding. The Classic is ultra stable and predictable. Something of an everyone can ride bike. Nice review and made me even more impatient to pick mine up in three weeks time. The only criticism is that you are riding without gloves, with the amount of views you have I think you are sending out the wrong signal… Minimum, helmet (I live in europe), gloves and decent boots.

You are right. Had a crash July 24 that put me in the hospital for 10 days. If not for the helmet, jacket, gloves, heavy pants and boots I might not be able to write this now. Helmet, jacket and pants were totaled in the crash. I'm doing well and should be riding again soon. Wahoo!

The shit I'm having with mine in first 150 miles is unbelievable. Speedo completely useless on hot days. Just tried to fill second tank at 150 miles and EVAP kept it closed. Tried two pumps and rode back home on fumes. Never had shit with anything like with this. I have buyer's remorse. Ready to dump it and take loss after two weeks.

RE is all about marketing and very poor engineering and quality control. I'm just amazed that such simple machine has so many basic and prevalent issues. I hope they fix it but, it leaves really bitter taste. Sticking to Japanese machines is way to go. Anything can have a problem but, to me as verification engineer in computer business, this is difficult to digest. This is very simple to test and debug. I can guarantee you that your laptop would never get on the market for much smaller problems.

@@oknevals They do have quite a few faults/warranty issues if you look online at owner forums. That’s a shame because it spoils an otherwise decent proposition. Cheap is fine as long as they actually work. Cheap and unreliable isn’t.

@@jfro5867 They have really strong marketing and apparently paying google to supress negative reviews and complaints. Other than few, people reviewing them are either inexperienced, clueless or having very limited time with them. Overall, they are really crappy machines but, that is not so surprising as their cool image and reasonable price compensates for lack of riding performance. I can even get over basic idiotic decisions from engineering side, like adjusting shifter but, what is incredible is that they managed to get on Western markets with such massive safety issues like broken speedo, broken EVAP and very poor technical support for dealer service. Their customer support is also joke. I hope they'll sort it out but, this is dificult to digest. I don't see them lasting very long in the US unless they fix their game and attitude.
