Looks decent quality, however I think it will struggle against its zontes and lexmoto competition. Their latest bikes are liquid cooled and up to the 15hp limit more or less and better kitted out!
@JDMz2 жыл бұрын
The most powerful lexmoto is the lsn that's only 13.7bhp. The lxr is 12.5bhp..

Sinnis are great bikes, for the money & very reliable. The only issue I've seen, is that the age group who tend to own them, sometimes fail to look after them. E.g. Leaving them covered in road salt, allowing the drive chain to become unadjusted & solid with rust & falling off them quite a lot. This then leads to the common misconception of poor quality by those who fail to consider that if a BMW 1000RR was subjected to the life of the average Sinnis 125, it too might have its build quality brought into question...
@RichyVida2 жыл бұрын
Totally understand that, Steve. I guess as a very first bike, you wouldn’t necessarily know how important that bit is, yet. 👍

@@RichyVida I blame it on not passing on the knowledge. We have babied our kids and shown them how to do very little. Another reason is it has become a throw away world. Use something till it breaks then buy another one. Kids today are a very different breed than those that were brought up when money was scarce.

@@jamesweber4938 That’s true - we used to oil, polish and apply Vaseline to our chromed areas on our bicycles when young and we always dried them off when wet. A bicycle was a big ticket item then.

Funny isn't it. A bike made for beginners (predominantly) has no rider aids. But a 600cc / 1000cc/ 1200cc etc tech filled bike built for a more experienced rider is full of modes to help him/her to control it. Great video. Sometimes i think i'm missing a trick when it comes to commuting, i should be looking at these bikes and similar a lot more. Especially with today's fuel prices.

My first bike at 16 was a blue & white brand new Suzuki RG80. i felt like the bees knees. It was clocked for 120kph and on a good day would do it. After coming from a push bike it was amazing. Unfortunatly after 3 months I crashed it and sold it for half what I had paid. Had to keep paying back the banck loan and was relegated back to the push bike. But that experience over 30yrs ago got me into biking and have enjoyed eevery moment since. Have to admit it was easier to get your licence back then, wherther that was a good or bad thing?

Obviously it's carborated, how do you let it warm up if you can't put the side stand down ? Are you sure there's not a fault on it, because that doesn't make sense for a manufacturer to design it like that. Wouldn't be a problem if it was fuel injected, but I can't imagine it is for a cheapy like that.

A Sinnis 125 with good brakes? I'll believe that when Bruce Smart says it! And advocating using only the rear linked brakes is potentially dangerous. It only operates one of the 3 front calliper pistons so does not give best braking performance.......and best braking performance is not something to be ignored, especially for a new CBT rider. And what happens if they've learned this bad habit and then progress to a bigger bike with conventional unlinked brakes?

Cool lookin' little bike though I personally wasn't keen on the colour of the one you were testing (I'd deffo go for the black alternative but that's just me personally). Exhaust note sounds quite "fruity" which will no doubt please all those potential young boy racers . The linked brakes are definitely a bonus for the novice rider and not something you expect to see on a bike at that price point. Hope your "bits" have recovered from the "massaging" at high revs.......if not, you can always get a job as a boy soparano with the Vienna boys choir! lol Great vid, keep em coming and here's to the next one! FAR too expensive for a 125 and a Sinnis one at that :o And, 'linked brakes' should only work from the front brake lever, not the rear, that's a poor design considering you're taught to use the rear brake on your 'turn in the road' etc during training, not your front brake lol.
