My first Subaru was an 88 Touring Wagon. A really cool feature of this vehicle was you could lift it 2" by turning some screws on the suspension. I'm debating buying a Crosstrek or Impreza right now.
@nishantmalik20 Жыл бұрын
If you are not looking for some crazy hp then I'd say buy an Impreza and have it lifted up. If you'll buy a Crosstrek you'll end up paying more just for some looks and lift. I did my research before buying my impreza and found that Crosstrek is basically just a lifted impreza with some looks. I'd suggest buy an impreza..have it lifted up..and save some money

@lowellsmoger1096 Жыл бұрын
Another video mentioned waiting until the car is on the ground to do the final tightening of the bolts. What is the correct way? Does it matter since an alignment will be done after this anyways?
@theadfcrew1431 Жыл бұрын
Putting the car on the ground would be the same as using the Jack to Jack the rear cradle up into the body of the car. You just don’t want to suck the cradle up into the body by just the bolts alone
@SamNuckels Жыл бұрын
Looking at your site the 1.5" kit includes the multi link spacer kit while the 1" kit does not. Is that because installing the 1" spacer kit does not cause enough of change in the geometry of the suspension, CV axles, swaybars, etc to necessitate moving the subframe? Also what about the brake line brackets? Thank you!

do this stress the coil from the strut? im looking to lift 1" or 1.5" my 2018 Impreza and it seems the 1" wouldn't require additional work but... Axle, Coil concerns me
@theadfcrew1431 Жыл бұрын
They do not stress the coil. Any lift kit will stress the axles more then factory. But choosing a equality kit that is set up correctly it will minimize the stress. 1" kits do not come with offsets in the front spacers so you will have to do all the adjustment with the cam bolts our 1.5" kits come with camber caster off sets to realign everything and mlks to realign the rear of the car for optimal performance
@PKCeltic219 ай бұрын
@@theadfcrew1431 so... 1.5" , 1 3/4 and 2" lifting in the back will mandatory need the adapter to the frame?

@716Flat4 Жыл бұрын
so the question is, what kind of stress does this add to the drivetrain and suspension and is there a way to fit a 1 inch lift on or do the bolt lengths prevent going below 1.5" for a spacer? I am also curious why you chose to use a spacer instead of the lift springs they sell that are 2"?
@theadfcrew1431 Жыл бұрын
Good Question! The CV axles are the only thing you would be stressing out more then factory, We have many people running our kits 100s of thousands of miles with no issues. Also Lift spacers over springs. With springs you will not get any camber or caster off sets like you would with a quality spacer lift and springs will give no Geometry change within the rear of the car to correct for the lift. and with a 1" kit you do not get any camber or caster off sets. Hope that answers your questions!

yeah that's usually why everyone lifts them up! because there so close to the ground and hitting everything. lift will only void certain parts effected by the lift like the cv axles but this is all determined by your dealer and what they want to do.
