I think I totally get the car as I am a bit Old School, and mostly had analog cars. I have a Porsche 356 Speedster replica (Intermeccanica) built with all Porsche parts. I am 63 and will use it to travel to my clients across Europe, thus the GR86 Sport I ordered will cover long distances. I tend not to use too many highways. I feel I am going to be very happy.

Do any of you guys get a rattle from the front passenger speaker?? I got my BRZ last November, I’m not the type to crank up and my EQ is all at default. It starts to rattle at 15-18 :/

Savange Geese talked about the reason for that rattle, apparently there is fake engine noise pumped into the cabin. Turning it off gets rifof the rattle. That can only be done at a dealer.

im interested in getting the car but everywhere i see you have to wait several months to get the manual version of the car. Might opt for the automatic (especially since i would have to learn manual with this car) but im curious about something. when you drive with the paddle shifters does the car automatically shift to 1st gear when you stop at a light? my current car does that and its so annoying cause i want to shift the car down on my own. hopefully you have an answer to that

It depends who you're trying to pass and how fast they're going. If you're already around 70mph, I doubt this thing has much. You'll eventually pass yeah, but not anything crazy like a 400hp+ car.

Trash around? I only did a couple accelerations to show the performance on video. That's what people want to see when you buy this car, you buy this car to have fun on it once in a while, not to drive it slow, besides I drive very conservative off camera and take care of the vehicles.
