Exhaust gives a nice deep beefy sound. I like it. Here’s hoping for the mid season refresh they can cure the oil take up issues and the rtv crap. They’re such a good car otherwise

RTV was never an issue. The oil pickup has 5 sides. Only one side is blocked by RTV. The problem was oil pressure drops during high RPM hard right turns. This is not a unique problem to the GR86 and BRZ like most people think. LS and VQ engine cars have similar problems. Corvettes had oil starvation on track due to high G left turns. Nissan 350/370z had fuel and oil starvation during high G's in any direction. Of course, these are almost never problems unless you have upgraded tires and suspension and driving 10/10ths. Oil system upgrades are necessary at that point...

@@alicekim7351 There’s a number of videos reviewing the issue showing that rtv was causing issues. Maybe it’s in tandem w the oil starvation but it’s still an area of concern nonetheless. I’m confident Toyota will address these issues.

@@gryphon123456 I promise you it's not the RTV. I know certain mechanics are fearmongering the RTV, showing how it's totally blocking the oil pickup while being fully aware there are 4 more sides unblocked. More customers for them, though. The videos showing oil pressure drops on high RPM hard right turns is a lot more credible than the RTV. If RTV was truly the problem, it will show. When other cars with similar issues have blown engines from high G oil starvation, is it the RTV or oil pressure drops? My C6 Z06 had oil starvation on hard sweeping left turns and other people had their Z06's engines die because of this. The solution was a LPE tank and Aviaid insert. No problems since.
