LandCruiser, the best 4WD in the world. I have a 200 series and just love it. A mate went to order a 300 series, was told 2 year waiting list so he ordered a 76 (station wagon version of this ute being tested). He's still waiting and that was September 2021. The dealer told him two weeks ago they are no longer taking orders for the 70 series - could be because of the updated model. I can hear all of the latte sipping EV snobs snorting in their coffees watching this beast of thing roaring up the road. Long live the diesel V8.

On an almost stock one, larger injectors, larger intercooler with thermo fans and slightly larger turbo and upgraded clutch, it’s making 850nm at the wheel on 33” mud tires. They’re highly derated out of the factory, but still go excellent when needed due to how low the torque comes in at rpm. There’s a big difference between the hilux 1gr making 450 at 3000rpm compared to 430 at 1200rpm in the 1vd.

I get it, these things are probably the most reliable vehicle out there, but seriously no reverse camera? Like commercial trucks have reverse cameras. Also these things will likely be used in the poorly lit outback, surely some LED headlights? They'll last the life of the vehicle. There is a difference imo between keeping things original and reliable, and just being lazy. At 80k+ I don't think lazy should be an option.
