In the UK we get LSD, adaptive dampers, active exhaust but no blind spot monitoring. Tells you lots about how you guys drive! 😂

Note sure why people would assume the 2.0 is not worthy of the Supra. The majority of Supras were not 2JZ and are dog shit slow unless highly modified. It is more than quick enough for a good time and is properly light.
@kim99jung Жыл бұрын
all supras had 2JZ, I assume you meant not all had the turbo variant.

fun fact the supra that beat the gtr in JGTC didn't have a 2jz but a 4 cyl 3s-gt making it lighter but just as fast if not faster for its purpose thats why i respect toyotas decision to include this in the mk5 making it *more* toyota and i think it has great tuning capability

Thanks for that great rewiew. I´m a 4-cylinder fan boy since I owned a manual shifted, tuned turbocharged ´89 Lancia Thema 2.0 16V, the last production year without catalytic converter... VROOOM... I liked to watch the "fast" Mercedes E300 and BMW 323i getting smaller and smaller in my rear mirror at the Autobahn... 😁

So many nicer cars that you get in Europe compared to here in Canada. We never had any nice Lancias or Alfas here when growing up.

I disagree that it’s too expensive… it’s a Supra… you don’t see any on the road say for example like a Corolla… they hold value so well here in the US. When you drive it you’re definitely feeling like you’re that guy it brings a lot of smiles. You really can’t make it any cheaper you want it to be a little exclusive because it’s a Supra, but also not crazy expensive where they don’t sell. For what it is I feel it’s pretty fair

Great review. You mentioned the road/tire noise was quite high, is it worse than that in the GR86 or RF Miata (top up)?
@MGReviewsBlog2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'd say they're the same which is what surprised me with the Supra. I was expecting the cabin to be a bit quieter. Perhaps with different tires it would be.

Toyota should change the facia and release as a Celica comeback...

I got a 2022 BMW 230i. I think it is the much better buy. You get tight but usable back seats, big brimbo brakes, BMWs M ELSD, better warranty, way better interior, and for about the same amount of money. 0-60 is slightly slower but the trade off I well worth it and the 230i performance is still solidly in rowdy territory.

What's the warranty on it? I thought standard is 4 years/50,000 miles (80,000 km in Canada). Supra has less new vehicle but more powertrain warranty

The BMW also does a way better job of blending in and looking like every other car. Congrats!
