It’s soooo cool to see so many female college gymnasts come back to the elite stage. Not too long ago, under Marta, the accepted path was: peak at 16-18 wear out your body with injuries and retire into college gymnastics. I’m so glad that’s not the case now and that we get to enjoy the performances of these amazing athletes for longer!

The commentators talk about it being boring to look at angles on the bars and explain the deductions but I don't think it's boring at all - I've been watching gymnastics for 26 years since the 1996 Olympics but I still struggle to understand exactly where deductions come from. I hope they continue to do explanations like this going forward! Also, thank you for posting the whole competition 🤩

NBC commentary hitting a new low... maybe it's because the Eyros commentary was so insightful and respectful in contrast, but this competition's commentary was awful. Irrelevant Simone references were few, but the constant harping on Jade's Olympic mistakes, Jordan's supposed Olympic glory, Konnor's father passing away, Skye's trials injury... all very distateful. If they insist on dredging up last year instead of focus on the athletes at hand, they could at least hype up Leanne and Kayla for their world championship successes, but they hardly got a word.
@Sofia-jd7dz2 жыл бұрын
@@claregallivan3863 you’re so right! And I HATE that they show us Skye’s trials injury and Jade’s vault video over and over again! It’s a bit distracting from what it’s actually happening in the meet and I’m sure the athletes don’t want to be re-living that
@JB-sg1vy2 жыл бұрын
Ya exactly and they always say Jordan swooped in at the olympics and did this great thing and got the silver medal and hyper her up like she was flawless there. When in reality she stepped out of bounds on her first pass and sat down her second. Now do not get me wrong I like her but she did not have a great performance in Tokyo and they make it sound like she took over for Simone and performed just great and perfect and led the team to silver and it is all hog wash. ANYone on the USA team that was in the top 10 and trials could have pulled in the same scores overall. LOVE Jordan tho but it is what it was there in Tokyo. Also, Nastia is as annoying as Tim and just her voice tone alone jus sounds so dumb and all her outfits that are about the same as Johnny Wheir. Like Tacky Russian fashion. Just me me me. She is her biggest fan like Paris Hilton jus comes across as spoiled brat. Shannon Miller and Bart and Kathy and Amanda Borden are SO sO SO much better and should take over NBC stuff. Ugh

makes me so happy to see Jordan have fun and show her personality. not only is it just cool that she's doing things the way she wants to do them, but its so nice to finally celebrate things that humanize the girls and women on the biggest WAG stages. for so long in WAG it felt like watching robots and it almost felt like they were treated as such too. to see these champs smile, enjoy themselves, openly celebrate their hard-earned wins, even look disgruntled or annoyed and just be so real.. its just incredible, i could talk about it all day! just more proof that the karolyi era customs of women's gymnastics were always unnecessary and that you can absolutely kill the game all while still having fun

Jordan - infectious personality! Super inspiring for young up-and-coming gymnasts. I would love to see more freedom of expression from the other athletes. I feel like this level is so uptight (not the athletes fault, but the structure of the uptight environment). But I think what Jordan is doing is great! Konnor - best split leaps for sure Shilese - She's so fun to watch, and if you notice, any tumbling, flips, or tricks her hands and feet are always working. The best toe point and even when tumbling, her hands are perfect gymnastics hands (some girls, you'll see make a fist) Jade - she needs to go to a dance class and learn to let go a little more and her scores will sky-rocket. Charlotte - is in dire need of new floor music. I recommend Yani, it would suit her movement and performance better. I LOVE the leos!

Plus don’t forget Leanne who is a strong contender since she can go up on any event. @@Plaspos do you really think Simone is gonna make a come back?
@Plaspos2 жыл бұрын
@@itsnolano yeah, before Tokyo, Simone was 100% saying she would retire and was ready to be done with gymnastics because she was exhausted physically. But, Tokyo didn't go how she wanted it to, so she still has a lot of unresolved successes (namely the Yurchenko double pike). The fact that she hasn't taken herself out of the WADA testing pool despite the hassle of being tested regularly shows to me she is seriously considering it.

You are gold medalists Lexi Zeiss and Co. Pay attention to caloric intake. Ive been trying a new eating routine, thought id share. Its a bit time specific, but im way less hungry. Im currently 6'2 at 286lbs. For breakfast 2 med/lg bananas and 7 jimmy dean sausage. (Microwave for 2 minutes). Maybe 32oz green tea. At 2pm I start lunch. I bring to boil a full 3qt pan of water pan and then set the temp to level 6. I add in 1 CUP Dried split peas. I let this simmer for 30 minutes. I also cook 1/4 cup dry white rice. I let the rice simmer for 20 minutes. Once done, i rinse the peas and rice to cool it off. And strain it. I then put 2 foster farms turkey hot dogs in the microwave for 3 minutes. Maybe another 32oz tea. Zero calorie beverages are okay too. Thats lunch. Supper is what ever. Keep up the great work! Im now in a caloric deficit and do not feel hungry. If you do not check your caloric intake, you will run miles and still store them. Your young now, but thats changing. Please try this food plan for a month. Good luck soldiers.
