Thanks for the review. Think I'll keep my 2017 as I would be giving up to many features with the 2022 model although the reviewed vehicle does have better front seats. While I don't think ice only will be dinosaurs for another 10 years, right now I would only consider a phev with 50 mi battery range and sincerely hope Volvo offers one here in the USA soon.

It's the B6 drivetrain that kills the chances for this car to ever sell well. If Volvo would put their new "Extended Range" PHEV drivetrain into this vehicle, it would be much more practical and sell much better -- with 455 hp and 523 lb-ft of torque, and 38 miles of all-electric range. Gas-only cars like this B6 version are dinosaurs, and nobody wants them any more. The vast majority of Volvo buyers will have access to charging every night at home, making PHEVs (and eventually BEVs) the way to go for Cross Country wagons now.

That's not true. I'll gladly buy a Mild Hybrid. As The V90 Recharge isn't available in my country.

I don't want a plug-in, plus only the rear wheels are electric so no electricity equals FWD only and also no spare tyre with electric as all the components are in the boots tyre well. Great when you split a tyre!

A family member leased one. Garbage car, over engineered unreliable engine, it weighs a massive amount and is quite slow. It’s gas mileage is barely worth it considering it averages less than 20 for city driving.
