2022 WRX ETS Top Mount Review

Our WRX has been having issues with heat-soaking on the dyno, and while that's mainly due to us not having a fan to mount to the intercooler, since we recently got a tune it's a good idea to get some extra cooling! So today we'll be installing and reviewing the ETS Top Mount.

You absolutely need to redo this test in the summer, the performance will be more interesting. Especially depending on relative humidity of the day. I hope you can also test the Cobb one which widens the hood scope!

That was quick clean shifting. It'll be interesting to see the improvements in temperature on the dyno and in warmer temperatures, especially when using a tune.

Do the same test with the Cobb top mount. They also have the thrust tunnel to help funnel air in the intercooler

new vb owner and 1st time with inter-cooler, and I was worried about my inter-cooler as one day I was cleaning the car and there was a few leaves on top of it and I did not think I touched it with any force when I removed the leaves but ended up bending a few fins. Then I saw the one here and guess it is not that big of a deal.

A few bent pins is of no concern! Once it’s like 1/4 of your intercooler then you should start worrying.

A radiator comb will fix the bent fins.

Thought one. The ETS is larger by an inch in one direction and is 150 cheaper, but I’m guessing Cobb makes up that size difference with the shroud. Hope this helps 😅
