I love that the air intake ducts are actually functional now.

Hey TJ, Thanks for the kind words! And that's quite the stacked lineup. I'm a big fan of the Limited Edition liveries, and especially the most recent 60th-anniversary liveries on the R7 and R1. Take care! - Nic

Looks like a great machine, love the colors, it looks good. One concern is that low hanging oil cooler that's very close to the headers - one side is heating it, the other is hitting it with debris. Is it as vulnerable as it seems?
@ultimatemotorcycling2 жыл бұрын
Hey Anxiousappliance, The oil-cooler positioning is pretty common these days, and I wouldn't view it as a cause for concern. The Streetfighter V4, Tuono, and plenty of other motorcycles have oil coolers located in the same general area. I've done thousands of miles on those bikes without any issues regarding punctures or excessive heat buildup. That said, you can alleviate some of your concerns and install radiator/oil-cooler guards that will greatly reduce the risk of debris puncturing the units. I recommend them for anyone who enjoys sport riding or track days, and they're usually required in racing. Take care! - Nic

Nice review. Are the headers titanium?
@ultimatemotorcycling2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the headers are titanium, which makes cat-back exhaust systems an enticing proposition.

@@ultimatemotorcycling its great, all you gotta do is get a 3/4 titanium now. Managed to grab one of the last yoshi Ti 3/4 systems. Should look mint

@@weemankyle Nice! Good to know there are already options out there.

@@ultimatemotorcycling actually a yoshi rep told me they stop producing those and are probably not going to start it back up. I had to search around a while to find one In stock in the US. There were only 2 left when I ordered mine, when it came in it was stamped was made in 2017 too. The graves 3/4 titanium is also a great option. Then there's always akra but those 3 are the better performing systems that are available. But tbh you really can't go wrong with anything these CP4s sound good with pretty much any pipe.

@@weemankyle Agreed. The MT-10/YZF-R1 are consistently some of the best sounding liter bikes on the market. Good info as well! Take care! - Nic

Is it worth the money? Yamaha dealerships over here in the UK seem reluctant to sell any! Thanks

Hey K Ashy111, Definitely. The MT-10 is a great value and a solid option for those focused on street riding. Take care! - Nic

This or an older SP?
@ultimatemotorcycling2 жыл бұрын
Hey King Kire, My vote would be for the 2022 MT-10 due to the handful of refinements that improve nearly every aspect. The big takeaway is the fueling, when comparing stock units. Oddly, the United States never received the original MT-10 SP and I haven't ridden the latest SP yet. But, if it's anything like the MT-09 SP we sampled, the sporting crowd will eat it up.

Can guarantee this thing won't get 36mpg if you have your hand into it.

That can be said of any vehicle. Economy and range are entirely dependent on how you ride.
