Great video series! I've got a '24 5mt Versa myself. Could you do the 5mt community a huge favor and post a video of the sound from the transmission in idle after a drive? I've noticed that, on some Versas, the throwout bearing tends to emit a rattling noise in idle when warm.

Economic and other conditions really call for simple reliable cars like Nissan Versa, Honda Fit, etc., yet typical Americans are not accepting of the realities. I myself own a '19 Fit EX MT6 (very rare because '18 and '19 Fit EX MT6 are the only manual Fits with Honda-Sensing). Of course, Honda discontinued Fit in the North American market a few years ago, even though they have a newer (super cute) version elsewhere in the world. For your Versa, I'd suggest getting a leather steering cover (the one that requires you to spend a few hours manually stitching it on), and a seat cover (I got them cheap Type-S ones from Costco). I took the time to learn how to do "baseball" stitches and I love the steering wheel feel, even though I doubt it's "real" leather.

I actually like the cheap plastic steering wheel and cheap cloth seats. Adds to the charm!

One of the many things I like about this car is that it feels like a fleet car. I know they make a good rental car for example. I do not have a versa but a 2017 Nissan Sentra SV which has the CVT. I know its frowned upon but I wanted to just post this here and it has over 125,000 miles on it. I bough the car new. The only issue I am having with it now is it will need front end bushings. Otherwise I am averaging 42 miles per gallon which is over the 37 mpg it is rated. I am hearing that this is the new popular Nissan these days. Only thing I do not like about the Versa when I rented one is the car felt uncomfortable to sit in compared to my Sentra, the center armrest which was not on that car which was a 2020 as well as no back seats that fold down. It was a good car otherwise.

Looks like West Virginia. Beautiful... A couple of things. I don't give a hoot about push-button start. I see it as a useless gimmick. But for any car at any price built in the last 20 years, I find it absolutely unacceptable not to have keyless entry. I wonder if it could be added as an accessory. While I'm griping, any large screen festooned in the middle of a dashboard that doesn't, at least, offer Android Auto or Apple Carplay is a monumental waste of space, and worse, a needless distraction. And if what I've read elsewhere is correct, it is not easily upgraded after the fact. Mirage gives you these things standard. Just a head-scratcher why Nissan would give you something like parking sensors in such a small car...something I would guess most buyers wouldn't miss... instead. Nevertheless, I found a dealer close by that has a few in stock--any color you like, as long as it's dark grey--and I'm planning on buying one ASAP.

I have a theory on this car post 2019 (Third generation 2020-2024). I drove the car home from the dealer Saturday about 90 miles . Add in 60 miles of low mileage test drive activity before I bought it I still show cumulative 38mpg. I think what happened here is Nissan gaining more control with buying stock from Renault and this redesign being so much better than the second generation they are saying we are back and we learned from the mistakes that were made that required a lifeline.
