@@samsacre hi, the engine in the regular Prius and Prius Prime is the same, but they take a slightly different amount of oil as discussed in the video. Probably due to a different oil pan design.

Great video ! I have a 2024 Prime and plan to do the first oil change at 5000 miles. I typically drive EV mode but select HV about once a week to get time on the engine. Where did you get the screw in funnel that fits the new Prius. I use that style funnel on my Ford, Mazda and past Subaru vehicles. I can’t find one on Amazon that states it fits the new Gen. 5 Prius. Cheers
@Viktor_G_Automotive8 ай бұрын
Hi Roy, thank you for the positive feedback! The funnel and all the other items needed to do the oil change are linked in the video description below the video. The Amazon fitment guide may not include the Prius Prime in it as it is a newer vehicle, but it does fit. Cheers! amzn.to/3QbGQrG

Hi Viktor. Thank you for sharing your experience ! May I ask you a few questions. Now I have 3300miles, mostly hv mode on freeways, is it not to late to do first oil change? And can I use Mobil 1 fully synthetic ilsac gf-6 5w30 instead of 0w16 in California?
@Viktor_G_Automotive5 ай бұрын
@@Pravdazhe hi, the first oil change is due at 10K miles, so you definitely don’t need one yet (unless you want to do one early). You could probably use 5w30, but it will likely make the fuel economy slightly worse.
